SATURDAY, 8th AUGUST
- If you are looking to bag yourself a bargain, get along to the Brocante in Les Allées de la Liberté in Cannes, running throughout the weekend. Open from 7 am to 5 pm. Stroll, browse, discover, buy!

- The Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift arrives in Nice this weekend. Today, we have Stage 8, a 175 km trek from Sisteron to Nice. Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney of Canyon/SRAM is in the maillot jaune after the most stunning climb up Mont Ventoux on Stage 7, with only 6 minutes separating the top 10 riders. Check the Ville de Nice website for details of traffic disruption and road closures.
- The 20th edition of Les Plages Électroniques continues in Cannes today, running throughout the weekend. Seven stages and plenty of acts to enjoy – the question is, where to start?! Get your tickets online asap!
- Hôtel Amour Nice hosts the Festival Plage Amour, a series of concerts and DJ sets under the stars, with the sunset over the Mediterranean as a backdrop. Tonight Honey Dijon, Anastazja, Inès Rau, and Nicolas Dermen take to the stage from 7 pm. Tickets may be purchased online.
- L’Apéro des Frenchy hosts an evening of Chansons Françaises at the Hôtel de Ville in Saint Laurent du Var, running from 6 pm to 11:30 pm. Food available on site. No children or minors. Tickets may be reserved online.

- Les Nuits des Étoiles is underway and continues throughout the weekend. This year, the organisers expect more than 500 events organised by 350 clubs, associations, local authorities throughout France, with plenty of events planned locally.
- Cagnes-sur-Mer hosts another Promenade en Fête from 8:30 pm tonight. There will be a fireworks display at 10:15 pm and musical performances and entertainment throughout the night. Free admission, open to all.
- The 14th edition of Saint Jazz Cap Ferrat concludes tonight in the Jardin de la Paix with ALA.NI. at 8:30 pm and the Henri Texier “Essential Quartet” at 9:40 pm. Unfortunately, the event is now sold out.
- La Note Bleue welcomes Larry Houl tonight for the second of two gigs as part of the Summer Festival programme. He has spent the past decade carving out a solid place in France’s house and nu-disco scene. Reserve your table now by calling +377 93 500 502
- “Pour l’Amour du Jazz” returns to Mougins this evening, a free concert featuring the JazzAccords Quartet. Taking place at 9 pm at les Jardin des Restanques. Part of les Soirées Estivales.
- The Kareem Kandi World Orchestra play La Trinquette Jazz Club in Villefranche-sur-Mer at 9 pm tonight. Tickets cost €18 (concessions available) and may be reserved online.

SUNDAY, 9th AUGUST
- La Turbie hosts a Boules Carrées competition with an 11 am start in place Saint-Jean. There will be a refreshment stand serving light snacks and drinks. - The Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift concludes in Nice this evening. The final Stage 9 is a 99.2 km route taking the riders from Nice out through the mountains and back to Nice. Check the Ville de Nice website for details of traffic disruption.

- Flamenco guitarist Yerai Cortés plays at the Fondation Maeght tonight. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., followed by a self-guided visit of the Ellsworth Kelly exhibition. - The 2026 Monte-Carlo Summer Festival continues tonight with Lisa Stansfield at the Sporting Monte-Carlo. - La Farandole, organised by le Collectif des Arts Traditionnels – Lou Cat gets underway this evening with a number of performances in different locations, including La Trinité and Saint-Jeannet. Free admission.
- Tonight, we will experience an almost total solar eclipse. At its peak, approximately 95% of the sun will be obscured by the moon, creating a dramatic late-evening partial solar eclipse unlike anything many residents and visitors have ever witnessed. Best viewed on the coast. Please remember to protect your eyes and do not stare directly into the sun.

- Throughout August, come experience Les Jeudis du Suquet, a festive family event in the heart of Le Suquet, on Rue du Pré, with an eclectic programme featuring orchestras, brass bands, and musical groups. - The 9th edition of Les Nuits Dime On, the signature summer music festival at Hôtel Cap Estel, continues tonight with Anwar. Reservations can be made via Hôtel Cap Estel’s online booking platform, with demand expected to be high throughout the summer season.

- The Ville de Nice pays its traditional homage to local heroine Catherine Ségurane, the washerwoman who saved the city during the siege of 1543. Taking place at 8:30 pm in Rue Sincaire in Nice.
- The Jazz au Château festival continues in Haut-de-Cagnes (Cagnes-sur-Mer), taking place every Friday night until September 11, 2026. Tonight we have the Dutch group, Licks & Brains. Please note that there is a free shuttle bus (the No. 44) available from the central bus station.

This August, the Mairie de Monaco has laid on a wide range of family activities at Larvotto. This iconic location in the Principality is transformed into leisure spaces for all ages, with games, entertainment, and food stalls to help you make the most of the summer season. Summer at Larvotto: July 3 to August 16 - trampoline, duck fishing, Iris photo booth, braiding, temporary tattoos, hot dog stand, and shaded area. Hours: 4:00 pm to 10:30 pm | Food stalls: 11:30 am to 10:30 pm.

The Nocturnes Cannoises 2026 are back, running from 7 pm to midnight. During the month of August, the Cannes night markets offer a picturesque and attractive craft market where local produce and decorative objects blend well with the mildness of summer evenings. The markets take place on Tuesday evenings at Esplanade Pantiero, Wednesday evenings at Place du marché de Cannes La Bocca, and Thursday evenings at Boulevard Jean Hibert. Free admission to all markets.

Jazz Sous La Lune Festival takes place on 29 August, 2026. Enjoy an unforgettable summer evening beneath the stars at the enchanting Abbaye de La Colle-sur-Loup. Created by Maiart, this elegant open-air event combines live jazz, Riviera charm and a spectacular historic setting for a memorable night of music and fine dining. Each ticket includes a complimentary glass of champagne, a truffle and foie gras tasting, and access to a curated cheese bar by LeChat Noble, specially selected to complement the evening’s performances. On the programme – a live jazz concert featuring Luana Toader and her band with special guest artists, and a spectacular Michael Jackson Tribute Show, followed by a DJ set to round off the night.
