The sleepy hamlet of Valbonne will be exploding to life again this April when the ‘Don’t Believe The Hype’ electro festival hits town.
Now in its sixth year, the electronic music festival, Don’t Believe The Hype, is back once again in the Pré des Arts in Valbonne. The festival runs over the weekend of the 12th and 13th April, 2013.
Organised by FMK Spectacles and the Association Phosphène, in collaboration with Quoth Eventz, this year’s festival brings together underground legends such as Lenny Dee, R-Zac Live, and Manu Le Malin, who all play on the opening night, Friday 12th April. Doors open at 7pm, and the last act finishes up at 2:30am.

Saturday night is house and minimal techno night, featuring the likes of Paul Ritch, Alexi Delano, and Ambivalent. Local artists Zecapx, Ricardo Vegas, and Vicios also take to the stage during the evening. The final night of the festival runs from 8pm until 5am, so definitely no sleep for Valbonne!
The organisers have also laid on a free shuttle bus service from the Gare SNCF in Antibes to Valbonne and back. Further information is available on the DBTH website, and it is advisable to book your place in advance.
The full programme for the weekend is available here. Tickets for the festival can be purchased from all the usual outlets and may also be reserved online. A festival pass is also available for the diehard electro fans.
