Depeche Mode have added an extra date to their European tour schedule in May, which is great news for their fans on the Côte d’Azur.

Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, and Andy Fletcher will be embarking on a European stadium tour in support of their new album, ‘Delta Machine‘. The tour starts on Saturday, the 4th of May at 8pm in none other than the Palais Nikaïa in Nice, after the group confirmed this additonal date on their schedule.

Notwithstanding the lateness of the announcement, and the fact that it is being touted on the Twittersphere as a warm-up show, this will be undoubtedly one of the most significant musical events of 2013 on the French Riviera. Other French dates include Paris and Nîmes on the 15th and 16th June respectively.

The tour will comprise 34 shows covering 25 European countries, including appearances at the famous San Siro Stadium in Milan, the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, and Moscow’s Locomotive Stadium before wrapping up the European leg of their tour in Minsk, Belarus on the 29th of July. A full North American tour is also on the cards.

Tickets for the Nikaïa concert go on sale this Friday, the 15th of February at 10am at all the usual outlets and may also be reserved online. Prices range from €56.50 to €67.50
