The big boat shows arrive back on the French Riviera in September, with the Cannes Festival de la Plaisance kicking off the autumn season.
The annual Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes attracts some of the biggest names in international yachting, including broker, charter and yachting professionals alike.
Running from Tuesday 10th to Sunday 15th September in the Vieux Port, Port Pierre Canto and the Espace Riviera in Cannes, the organisers are anticipating having over 580 boats on display, of which 150 will be getting their world premieres.
84% of these boats come from foreign parts, including Italy, Spain, Holland, Turkey, the US, Sweden, and Asia.
The Vieux Port will be the main exhibition area, with over 450 of the finest craft from some of the world’s most renowned designers and shipyards on display. There will be a mix of boats including both sail and motor, ranging in length from 10 to 50m. You will also be able to take your potential purchase out for a quick spin on the Med before you buy, so no excuses!
Port Pierre Canto will be home to the brokers and charter firms, alongside designers, refit specialists, and other yachting industry services. The Espace Riviera will be a popular stopping off point with some of the world’s leading yachting luxury brands on hand to tempt you with their wares!
The organisers are expecting in excess of 50,000 visitors to come to the show during the week, and with 400 plus exhibitors from more than 30 countries, there will be something there for all yachting enthusiasts.
Tickets cost €15 and may be reserved online. Children under 12 get in for free. The show is open each day from 10am until 7pm (10pm on Friday and 6pm on Sunday). There will also be a free navette (sea shuttle) available to transport visitors between the Vieux Port and Port Pierre Canto, which runs every 15 minutes.
