The annual Kermesse in Fontvieille is a sure sign that Christmas is just around the corner, and your chance to find great bargains!
The festive season is just around the corner and this year the annual Kermesse in Monaco run by the British Association of Monaco (BAM) will be a little earlier than usual as it is taking place on Saturday the 30th November. The 44th annual Kermesse will be held in the Chapiteau (Circus Tent) in Fontvieille from 10am to 6pm, entrance is free and there are bargains galore to be found inside.
This popular Christmas charity event has been held annually in Monaco since 1970 when it was created by the British Association, St. Paul’s Church and the Saint Vincent de Paul charity. These days other communities are also involved with the organization including the Reform Church of Monaco, the Spanish Community, and the Greek Orthodox parish.
There will be over 25 stalls including two book stalls (one English and one French), clothes stalls, a toy stall, an antique stall, a flower stall, a tombola stand and lots more.
This year the raffle has got some fabulous prizes on offer including a 2 night stay at The Fairmount Hotel in Monaco, a night at the Riviera Marriot in Cap d’Ail, tickets to Ladies Day at the Monte Carlo Masters, bottles of champagne, helicopter rides and much more besides.
Raffle tickets cost 2€ each and will be on sale throughout the day, but if you can’t make it to the Kermesse, don’t worry you can still buy a ticket, just give Petrina a call on +33 (0)6 40 62 06 24 and she will make sure you get your chance to win.
For those of you who might feel a little bit peckish during the day there is also a restaurant in the Chapiteau which will be serving up delicious goodies from 10am to 6pm, so you can have a Christmas tipple and a mince pie while you’re browsing the stalls!
