The Cannes Pocket Video competition gives all you budding young videographers the chance to prove your cinematic prowess.
Cannes is synonymous with the silver screen, and no more so than now, right in the middle of the 69th annual Festival de Cannes. The city fathers want to recognise the younger generation’s contribution to the world of video and have thus launched the Cannes Pocket Video competition.
The competition is open to amateur videographers, under the age of 25. Whether you live, work, study, or just hang out in Cannes, then this is for you.
All you have to do is make a short video, shot in Cannes and lasting no longer than two minutes, using your smartphone, tablet, video camera…whatever!! The video must be recorded in high definition, and the subject is « Génération créative ». Closing date for receipt of entries is 6pm on Friday, 3rd June, 2016. You will need to register for the competition by emailing the Ville de Cannes.
20 films will be selected from the entries for Cannes Pocket Video for screening at the Salle des Spectacles in MJC Picaud on the 17th June, 2016. The winner, chosen by a specialist jury, will win a sports camera, amongst other great prizes.
Further information is available on the Cannes Pocket Video Facebook event page or by calling + 33 4 97 06 43 35.
So, you Cannoïs millenials, time for some lights, camera…ACTION!
