The 2013 Monaco Yacht Show got underway today, and lived up to all its promise with some spectacular specimens on display.
The 23rd edition of the world’s favourite boat show started today in Port Hercule in the Principality, with a stunning display of some of the finest yachts to ever sail the high seas.
All the biggest names in the brokerage and chartering sectors of the industry are in attendance, alongside some 100+ megayachts, ranging from 20m babies up to the whopping 80m Chopi Chopi (pictured below…and just about!)…it should really be classed as a building, it’s so big!
The show runs until this coming Saturday, 28th September. Tickets are available at the gate, and cost €80 for the day. Admission is free for children under 12 years of age.
So, whether you plan on visiting the show, or are just curious, here’s a selection of images from the opening day to whet your appetite. And if you are going tomorrow, Thursday, 26th September, do look out for the Red Arrows who will be performing in the skies over Monaco for your viewing pleasure at 2pm.
