Travel website Expedia has just released a new web app which lets you relive your favourite festival experiences from years gone by.
Festival Playlister lets you search hundreds of music festivals from around the world and create a playlist of your favourite event. Just choose a festival and the app will compile a Spotify playlist from the artists that played there.
“Show me the hits” brings up the most played tracks, while “Show me the obscure stuff” gives you the less well-known tracks by smaller artists.
When we searched for Rock en Seine 2015, the app generated the following playlist featuring Alt-J, Ben Howard, Kasabian and Franz Ferdinand:
Festival Playlister has most of the big events in the Riviera region, namely Calvi on the Rocks, Festival Pantiero and Nice Jazz Festival. So if you don’t fancy the mud, crowds or expensive tickets next time, you can simulate the experience of actually attending by loading up a playlist from the comfort of your laptop.
