MIPIM, the leading real estate event that brings together the most influential property professionals, is back in Cannes this March.
The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès is once again home to MIPIM 2013, the global property event that brings all sectors of the industry together under one roof. The event offers unrivalled access to the top professionals, developers, development projects, and sources of capital worldwide.
MIPIM was first launched in 1990, with the prestigious MIPIM Awards being launched the following year, to recognise the most ambitious and innovative projects from the real estate industry. The event has continued to flourish over the years, continually adapting to new developments within the industry to ensure its relevance to its ever demanding clientele.
This year, there will be more than 19,000 sq.m. of exhibition space, with close to 1,850 companies showcasing their wares. The organisers expect somewhere in the region of 20,000 unique participants to be in attendance, some 1,650 CEOs and Chairmen to be present over the weekend, and over 4,300 investors to be making the rounds, and all these representing some 80 countries. The country of honour this year is Turkey.
There is a very busy schedule of conferences and events planned for the four days of MIPIM 2013, and the keynote address by Boris Johnson, Lord Mayor of London at 2pm on the opening afternoon, followed by the MIPIM Opening Cocktail at the Hotel Martinez later that evening are probably two of the highlights of Day 1!
