“I have made a number of private visits to the area with my family over the years and the main attraction is obviously the fantastic sunshine. The same sunshine also attracts the rich and famous. My working life has also seen me visit the are on many occasions for visits by Princess Diana, Sarah, the Duchess of York, Sir Elton John and many other celebrities who were in the public eye at any particular time.”
Charles’ Riviera travels have taken him to St. Tropez, Antibes, Nice, Cap d’Antibes, Villefranche and Monaco, Port Grimaud, St. Paul de Vence, St. Jean Cap Ferrat : “I like the variety of restaurants and the Riviera way of life. I like the intimacy of the smaller areas as well as the hustle and bustle of the bigger towns and cities as well as the friendliness of the people. A visit to the French Riviera will always be on the agenda.”
