What better way to learn Italian than in the heart of the country itself, and where better than at Italy-Amo located in beautiful Sanremo!
Tu parli Italiano? Lei parla Italiano? How often have you heard these three seemingly harmless words? Why not go back to school?
Choosing the right school can appear like a minefield, there’s such an array of options. We don’t know how to describe Silvia Feretti, (pictured above) the enthusiastic headmaster; somewhere between an intelligent breath of fresh air, a whirlwind of dynamic change and a warmhearted young woman. She has recognized the importance of languages to be prepared for tomorrow’s world or new friendships. Within the first 10 minutes you will have a clear indication of her approach to teaching – the courses are designed to guarantee the highest language standards, with small classes and strictly native, skilled and motivated teachers.
The School also offers foreign language courses (English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Arabic) and translation services. The team, teachers and office staff, is in love with the job and enjoys teaching and working with students. All teachers are native, boast extensive qualifications and are certified in the field. The school has classrooms equipped with wi-fi and air conditioning, and is very quiet, thanks to the location in the pedestrian street.
A great opportunity for those who feel pretty confident with their Italian but want to improve through conversation without a classroom could be the ‘Italian on the Road‘ class – a native teacher will show you around, speaking exclusively in Italian! And for the ones who don’t want to or can’t leave the house the school offers lessons via Skype!
Long-term students (up to 24 weeks) but also short term students may need help to find a flat or a host family. The school will help, but only as an intermediary, free of charge. All accommodation options are carefully selected and the school also offers assistance with any language issues.
