The summer of 2025 will immerse Nice in a new light – or rather, in an endless blue. Le Grand Bleu is more than an exhibition: it is a tribute to the immense depth, power, and fascination of the colour blue.
Thirty-five international artists explore blue as a state of being, an emotion, and an infinite space. Renowned artist and curator Gregor Hildebrandt has brought together a diverse selection of artistic perspectives that examine blue in all its facets – from floating lightness to hypnotic depth.
From the sea as a place of longing to the ocean as a symbol of boundlessness, this exhibition plays with the immaterial, the infinite, and the sublime aspects of blue – just as Yves Klein once envisioned the sky over Nice as the ultimate work of art.
Le Grand Bleu unfolds into an immersive experience, merging sculptures, paintings, photographs, and installations into an atmosphere of floating, lightness, and meditative vastness. More than just a colour, Le Grand Bleu is a feeling – a suspension between sky and water, an immersion into tranquility and openness. It is a visual intoxication, an invitation to let go and drift away.

NEO art & culture lab x VogelART
The NEO x VogelART art and culture space was inaugurated in Nice in July 2024 by the couple Sebastian & Simon Vogel and Luc Clément. NEO is a blank canvas for art and cultural projects – from art exhibitions and cultural events to photo shoots and pop-up events. It‘s a place where art, culture, fashion and design merge and put creation in the spotlight. More than 15 events have been held at NEO since July 2024, whether concerts, design car presentations or simply exhibitions.
