The 2013 Cannes Shopping Festival

The annual Cannes Shopping Festival is back this coming Easter weekend, with plenty on offer on the catwalks and boutiques.

Ready-to-wear fashion, accessories, jewelery, swimwear; whatever you’re looking for, you will be sure to find it at the 2013 Cannes Shopping Festival. Running over the Easter weekend, from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st March, you will be treated to myriad fashion shows and other events to satisy your every shopping desire.

The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès will host the majority of the fashion shows, including the Galeries Lafayette ‘Fashion Sport‘ show, the Save the Queen show, and the swimwear and lingerie show hosted by La Perla. Every night, you will have the chance to climb the famous steps of the Palais and have your photograph taken before the photo call to capture the magic moment. Be warned though, many of these shows are by invitation only.

There are some free events which are open to members of the general public. On Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 6pm, there will be hair and makeup demonstrations given by the Ecole Balzac, and Elysées Marbeuf in association with L’Oréal in the Palais des Festivals.

There will also be fashion shows hosted by the designer Aline Buffet. The shows will feature creations by the students from her Ecole Privée de Mode, the possible big name designers of the future. Shows take place at 2:30pm and 4:30pm on Satuday and Sunday, once again in the Palais des Festivals.
