The Antibes Limitless Marathon 2013 aims to raise funds for testicular cancer research this September, and you can help them in their efforts.

IYCrew and M/Y Lazy Z will be running the 2nd Limitless Marathon on Saturday, 7th September in Port Vauban in Antibes. The purpose of the event is to raise funds for, and awareness about, testicular cancer research. The first marathon was held in St. Maarten in aid of breast cancer research, and raised a whopping $15,000!

An event geared towards super yacht crews, the marathon element involves participants walking or running as many kilometres as possible around the course (adjacent to Bastion St. Jaume in Port Vauban) between 11:30am and 3:30pm on the day, donating €1 for every kilometre completed. The crew that covers the greatest distance will win a paddleboard for their trouble.

The marathon will be followed by a barbeque and a ‘blue‘ costume party, all taking place at the Blue Lady pub in Antibes. There will also be prizes for any ‘blue’ costumes worn whilst competing in the marathon (though costumes are optional!).

The entry fee is €10, payable on the day, though you will need to register online in advance of the event. If you wish to attend only the BBQ, you will also need to register in advance. All monies raised will be donted to the UK charity, Balls to Cancer. If you wish to make a donation, you may do so here

Further information about the event is available from Jenny Howarth of International Yacht Collection (Crew Division) either by emailing her or by calling +377 97 98 24 22.
