Here we are, almost mid-October and the Côte d’Azur is as busy as ever! Read on for our latest suggestions for things to do over the coming seven days in this little corner of paradise.
We’re stepping into another exciting week filled with plenty of activities and experiences to suit all kinds of interests. Whether you’re seeking cultural gems or just a few simple delights, you’ve come to the perfect place.
Once again Octobre Rose and Breast Cancer Awareness Month is at the forefront, alongside brocantes, braderies and markets, wellness weekends, film festivals, classical music recitals, to name but some of the myriad activities happening in the region. You’ll definitely find plenty here to keep your diaries filled!
So, without further ado, here’s our taster of what’s on offer this week.

SATURDAY 11th OCTOBER

October is recognised as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a global initiative to raise awareness, encourage fundraising for research and support, and promote early detection of breast cancer. There are plenty of activities taking place around the region in the coming days and weeks. Please do try and support these events where you can – if there are any planned in your area which we haven’t covered, do let us know.
Pink Ribbon Monaco hosts its annual Gala tonight in Hôtel de Paris, promising a night of bold elegance. The gala also coincides with the lighting up in pink of various buildings in the Principality.

Join La Mega Longe in Mandelieu at 11am today in support of La Ligue Contre le Cancer for Octobre Rose. Alison Wave Attitude is back with this new challenge: the goal is to break the record for the longest human chain held by the City of Mandelieu-La Napoule on 7th October, 2023, with 792 participants. The 2025 target: 1,000 participants! Cost €10 per person (group rates available) and free for those under 16. There are also yoga sessions and other activities on during the morning.

As part of the 36th edition of SISM Semaines d’Information sur la Santé Mentale, Mougins is holding a Journée de la santé mentale today from 10am to 7:30pm. There will be plenty on the programme including wellness activities, participatory theatre and conferences. Taking place in Scene55 in Mougins.
Villenueve-Loubet celebrates one of its most famous sons, the legendary chef Auguste Escoffier, this weekend. The Fêtes Escoffier invites you on a unique culinary and cultural journey. With talented chefs and a variety of entertainment, the village is transformed into a gourmet haven where tradition, excellence, and sharing meet. A must-see for anyone who wants to celebrate the legacy of the “king of chefs and chef of kings.”

The last Marché Vintage of the year in Grasse is taking place today in Place Morel, running from 10am to 6pm. Thrift Store, Flea Market, Designers, Musical Entertainment with LOLASIDO – what more could you ask for?

Staying in Grasse, the Médiathèque Charles Nègre is organizing a charity sale of books from its collections at Place Georges Morel from 10am to 6pm. All proceeds will go to the Association Les P’tits Doudous at Grasse Hospital, a partner of the event. This healthcare association aims to improve the experience and reduce anxiety of children hospitalized during outpatient surgery. This is a great opportunity to buy second-hand books at low cost and to meet this Grasse association in a festive spirit. Musical entertainment is offered by the Conservatoire de Grasse at 2pm. The Gardens section of Monaco’s Urban Planning Department is holding a “Nature Weekend” today and tomorrow from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, in the heart of the new Mareterra neighbourhood. This year’s theme is “Explorer,” and the public is invited to take a behind-the-scenes look at the landscaping of Mareterra, designed with a sustainable approach that respects biodiversity. There will also be free workshops open to all, for children and adults. allowing visitors to better understand the location choices, the selection of plant species, and the environmental issues associated with this new iconic neighbourhood in the Principality. Free admission.

The Braderie des Commerçants continues in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, running until Monday. The local retailers are offering great promotions on a selection of their collections: ready-to-wear, beauty accessories, nautical equipment and accessories, interior decoration … go on, grab yourself a bargain!

If you are looking for intrigue and thrills this weekend, you need to get yourself along to the 7th edition of the Festival du Polar in Saint-Laurent du Var. This crime fiction festival runs throughout the weekend and you’ll have the opportunity to meet around thirty authors, get your novels signed, attend debates but also step into the shoes of an investigator thanks to various immersive activities…! Taking place at Salle Deboulle, entry to the festival is free (though there are some paid events – please check the programme)

Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat hosts a Cap Bien-Être this weekend with a programme filled with inspiring lectures, practical workshops, sensory discoveries, and meetings with specialists, artisans, and wellness professionals. An opportunity to explore new practices, delve deeper into topics important to you, and leave with concrete tools to enrich your daily life. Fête de la Science, a national event organised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research is underway, running until Monday, next 13th October. There is a Festival des Sciences de Nice taking place in Jardin Albert Ier in Nice this weekend, running from 10am to 7pm today, free entry. There are also plenty of other events organised in a variety of locations throughout the Côte d’Azur and the PACA region, so do check them out!

Our friends in Masséna Around the World are hosting an evening with Dr Paul T. M. Jackson to discuss his work ‘Isaac Laquedem’, the first in a new Classical Dumas Series and was, in the author’s words, “the capital work of my life.” Event runs from 5 to 7pm, no need to reserve, come one come all!

The 19th edition of Cinéalma L’âme de la Méditerranée continues, running until Sunday, 19th October at the Salle Juliette Gréco in Carros. The festival offers an intimate portrait of the Mediterranean basin through the diversity of its cinema. From France to the Maghreb, from Spain to Lebanon, from Tunisia to Egypt, Cinéalma takes us on a journey of discovery through this tremendous abundance of creativity with some fifteen countries represented. As part of Jour de la Nuit, there are hundreds of light-switching events across France to raise awareness about light pollution. From 7 pm to midnight, the Château grounds in Mouans-Sartoux will host the 17th edition of Night Day. Let’s turn off the lights, let’s turn back on the stars! There will be an exhibition on light pollution and you’ll be able to observe the night sky through a telescope with amateur astronomers. Street lighting turns off at 9 pm. Free admission

And as if there wasn’t enough going on in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat this weekend, tonight we have a concert featuring Les Plus Beaux Airs du Cinéma (Cinema’s most beautiful movie themes). To celebrate the 130th anniversary of cinema, soprano Christina Collier and pianist Thomas Dupont-Constantini present a lyrical concert featuring some of the most well-known themes in cinema. Featuring soprano Valentina Silo Mocko. The concert starts at 8pm and is free to attend. There will be a collection on the evening for the benefit of the Saint Jean-Baptiste church.
The penultimate concert of the 20th edition of the Festival International d’Orgue de Monaco takes place this evening with a concert entitled “Bach in Swedish”.. This project was launched 20 years ago by organist Gunnar Idenstam and Lisa Rydberg (violin). The concert takes place in the Église de Sacré-Cœur at 8:30pm. Free admission subject to availability.

SUNDAY 12th OCTOBER


Carros Village is hosting a Foire d’Automne et des Saveurs today from 10am to 5pm. The fair promotes local products and crafts, and there will be more than 35 artisans on site to introduce you to their specialities: gastronomy, spirits, jewelry, cosmetics, leather goods, and more. Also free activities for the whole family including pony rides and pétanque tournaments. There will also be a treasure hunt at the château for families and children ages 6 and up – reservations required, please call +33 4 93 29 37 97 (limited places). The 7th edition of the crime fiction Festival du Polar continues in Saint-Laurent du Var. Taking place at Salle Deboulle, entry to the festival is free (though there are some paid events – be sure to check the programme.)

The Festival d’Orgue concludes in Mougins this evening with a concert by organist Gunnar Idenstam and violinist Lisa Rydberg, who happened to play in Monaco last night. The concert takes place at 6pm in Église Saint-Jacques le Majeur in Mougins. Admission is free but you can register by emailing culture@villedemougins.com or calling 04 92 92 55 67

MONDAY 13th OCTOBER


Do you know what to do in the event of a flood, forest fire, or earthquake? The Département des Alpes-Maritimes invites you to a day dedicated to prevention and safety. More than 30 booths to experience, learn, and interact with local stakeholders: firefighters, civil protection associations, government departments, local authorities, and more. Workshops, demonstrations, and activities: a friendly, educational, and participatory day to learn the right actions in the event of a crisis. Everyone must play a role in the face of major risks! Taking place in Parc Arboré du CADAM, Nice from 10am to 4pm.

Continuing in Cannes and running until Sunday, 19th October, the Conseil Local en Santé Mentale (CLSM) is organising Mental Health Awareness Weeks – SISM 2025, under the banner « Pour notre santé mentale, réparons le lien social » (For our mental health, let’s repair social ties). The event will bring together numerous stakeholders to inform, listen, share, and fight the stigma of mental health disorders. There will be plenty of activities, meetings, conferences, and opportunities for discussion: to take care of yourself and others. Check out the complete programme on the Ville de Cannes website.

As part of its contribution to the Octobre Rose campaign, the Mairie de Cannes is lighting up the Hôtel de Ville in pink, starting this evening until Sunday, October 26, 2025. This colour symbolizes solidarity and hope, highlighting the importance of collective support in the fight against breast cancer.

TUESDAY 14th OCTOBER


The Palais des Festivals and MIPCOM invite you to the world premiere screening of the series “Ku’damm 77” (the episode will be shown in German with English subtitles). The hit series produced by UFA Fiction for ZDF, created by Annette Hess and directed by Maurice Hübner, is back for a fourth season! Step into 1970s Berlin, where the Schöllack women navigate love, rebellion, and generational conflicts. Wild, funny, thought-provoking, and full of emotion – this is an event not to be missed! The screening starts at 6:00 pm (doors open at 5:45 pm) and takes place in the Grand Auditorium, Palais des Festivals. Free and open to the public, pre-registration required.

WEDNESDAY 15th OCTOBER


As part of Octobre Rose campaign running throughout the month, the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace has a programme packed with activities, meetings, and events. There will be an information stand today at the CHPG on the theme of Body & Balance « Bien dans son corps, mieux dans son soin » (“Feel good in your body, feel better in your care”) manned by professionals from the hospital.

THURSDAY 16th OCTOBER


If you are in Monaco, why not take some time and check out the Petit Marché du Larvotto, which takes place every Thursday from 8 am to 1 pm. Located on the Esplanade Joséphine Baker, near the Lartigue Fountain. A weekly event to complement the municipal markets, delighting foodies and fresh produce lovers.

Author Jorge Armenteros will be at the Masséna Around the World bookshop between 5pm and 7pm this evening to celebrate the release of his latest novel The Unwritten Music of Life. A composer struggles to capture an elusive melody, while a violinist improvises music reminiscent of her youth. Their paths intersect, drawing from parallel wells of memories. Set against the backdrop of historic Prague, music reveals the emotions of their past—a time that has vanished, leaving only traces in their minds’ dusty rooms. Free entry, open to all. No need to reserve!
Tonight at Théâtre Les Funambules in Cap d’Ail we have a concert « Cap d’Ail en scène ! » featuring two great local acts. Eva Dubois is a young singer from Cap d’Ail, a student at the Nice Conservatory, and has been passionate about jazz for several years. She composes and writes her own songs. She is performing tonight withe her band Eva Dubois & Sunday Jazz. We also have Acoustic-Song on the bill, bringing their brand of international tunes to the table. The concert starts at 7:30pm. Tickets cost €15 and may be purchased online. Free limited parking available on site.

Tonight, for one night only, ICÔNES Cabaret is in Nice! The show is inspired by the magic of American talk shows and the energy of queer cabaret culture. A great night out is guaranteed! Taking place at Stockfish in Nice, tickets available online.

FRIDAY 17th OCTOBER


The Foire Attractions de Monaco gets underway today in Port Hercule, running until 19th November, 2025, the Fête Nationale Monégasque. There will be plenty of entertainment and attractions on offer for both big and small kids alike!


The Mairie de Cannes is organising a Braderie Cannoise running throughout today and tomorrow. There is an impressive list of retailers participating in the event which runs from 10am to 7pm. Entertainment is also on the cards, with a parade of dancers and musicians and musical interludes. There will be food stands on rue d’Antibes. Further information on the Mairie de Cannes website.

L’Entracte will transform the Coloft in Sophia-Antipolis into a time machine with a Back to the 80’s party tonight: cult music, retro atmosphere, and guaranteed good fun! Admission €18 with drinks. Dress code: accessories, costumes, or classic outfits… the main thing is to come and enjoy! Doors open 5:30pm

As part of Pink October 2025, Mandelieu-La Napoule hosts ‘Rose Movie‘ at 8:30pm in Espace Léonard de Vinci. This is not simply a concert, it is an initiatory odyssey where music becomes the soundtrack to our inner journey. Each song is a step on this symbolic road of life. Rose guides us through her own experiences and the universal stories that resonate within each of us, inviting us to find our own light. In a free-form way, Rose blends new and old songs, reflections, original interludes, and participatory experiences. Tickets may be reserved online. €5 from each ticket sale goes to La Ligue Contre le Cancer.

OTHER EVENTS & ATTRACTIONS

There is plenty going on in the world of theatre around the region. The Anthéa in Antibes has an amazing programme of shows and performances lined up for the 2025/’26 season. The Théâtre National de Nice also has an impressive line-up for its new season as does the Théâtre de la Cité in Nice who have a very busy programme for the upcoming season.

There are also plenty of excellent exhibitions going on throughout the region.
