This holiday season, the Principality’s Grimaldi Forum transforms itself into a builder’s paradise, one LEGO® brick at a time

The global sensation is finally coming to Monaco: Bricklive, the hugely popular interactive show for Lego fans of all ages that has taken the world by storm is stopping over at the Grimaldi Forum from 22 December through 6 January for a unique seasonal adventure.  Following the success of the 2017 Bricklive Christmas event at London’s Saatchi Gallery, this year’s special edition showcases a Best Of Bricklive around the globe under a fun and festive holiday theme for the entire family.

Activities include an interactive build zone featuring Lego® Friends bricks and a dance zone, a Monaco build map with all the favourite construction bricks, colourful brick pits with 250,000 bricks to create with, a 10m graffiti wall, the famous race ramps for visitors to race their creations and much more. From Christmas and creative build zones, through a dedicated Star Wars Zone, to Minecraft and Galactic adventures, each zone will provide a different brick-based, interactive activity for Lego enthusiasts to play and engage with.

Along with a selection of Christmas themed builds, the main attraction of the event is the impressive, professionally built Animal Paradise Lego creation with five life size models – elephant, tiger, leopard, gorilla and a lion. The elephant alone took 271,000 bricks to build! This zone also aims to playfully raise awareness about questions of environmental health and preservation of endangered species – unsurprisingly so, given Monaco’s unfailing commitment to these issues.

Lego® began manufacturing its legendary interlocking toy bricks back in 1949. Since then, a global subculture has developed, supporting movies, games, competitions, fan conventions, and six themed amusement parks. Over 560 billion parts have been produced, and counting. Bricklive currently manages a stock of 25.2 million Lego bricks.

Tickets for this event sell like hot cakes, so be sure you get yours while you can.
