A charity concert at the Opéra de Nice Côte d’Azur unites 50 lyrical singers in support of two associations in the Alpes-Maritimes protecting women
To support the work of non-profit organizations fighting for and helping female victims of violence, CALMS (Collectif des Artistes Lyriques et Musiciens pour la Solidarité) has dedicated its 2020/21 season to this cause, culminating in an exceptional gala held on June 22 at 8 pm at Opéra de Nice Côte d’Azur. The beneficiaries of the “Les Voix Solidaires” concert are local associations CIDFF06 in Nice and Parcours de Femmes in Cannes.

CALMS was founded in January 2019 to help the victims of the catastrophic “rue d’Aubagne” building collapse in Marseille in November 2018 which cost the lives of eight people and displaced thousands in this neighbourhood predominantly inhabited by ethnic minorities. Since then the collective has spread to other cities in France, focusing on a different pressing social issue each year.
