Singer announces the postponement of a number of her French concerts until next December, cancels her appearance in Nice.

Songstress Katie Melua has postponed a number of back to back shows in France this February. The show in the Acropolis in Nice is one of the shows that has actually appears to have been cancelled outright.

Melua issued the following statement on her website: ‘It has been decided that it is undesirable to concentrate so many French concerts within a short time, and so therefore some of the dates have been rescheduled for later in the year.’

It goes on to say ‘The fact that the later shows will coincide with the release of a new studio album will add a special flavour to them and Katie is very much looking forward to using these postponed shows to debut some of the new material. Katie and the promoter jointly apologise for any inconvenience caused by this decision.
