An artist auction on 16th October is the latest in a series of fundraisers to support survivors and families of victims of the murderous Prom attack.

Three months after the heinous July 14 terrorist attack, feelings are still raw. But beyond that, tremendous bills are stacking up for families and survivors. The local community has been rallying in an exemplary way to help, and support is still going strong. Now a group of high-profile artists and associated businesses is doing its part, donating some of their oeuvres or personal items to an auction benefitting the victims. Organized and spearheaded by the City of Nice, a charity sale by prestigious art auctioneer 4-auctions at 2pm on Sunday, 16th October 16 at the Palais de la Méditerranée is expected to raise funds well into the six figures.

The catalogue, which can be consulted online prior to the auction, contains artists of international renown like César, Ernest Pignon Ernest or Niki de St. Phalle, as well as the entire elite of local painters, sculptors or photographers – many of whom are also widely known to connoisseurs the world over, such as Michel Anthony, Nikolli Paulin, Jérémy Taburchi, or Thomas Calvanico, to name but a very few. Other contributors include top Parisian galleries, the production team of the French cult movie series Brice de Nice, and two British citizens who are regular participants in the annual historic car rally of Castel Plage and who donate a 1995 Jaguar XJ6 to the auction.
