Formula 1, fabulous fashion, amazing company, elegant surroundings, helping out a great cause … all sounds pretty heady stuff and it’s all yours!!
The Amber Lounge has again created a fantastic charity event in aid of the Brain & Spine Foundation, which after Michael Schumacher’s recent accident underlines the vital work of the charity.
So what is different about this amazing haute couture fashion show then? Good question. The male fashion for example created by fashion house Apsley Tailors will be modelled by members of the actual F1 driving community, drawing key members from the Sauber, Red Bull, Toro Rosso, Caterham and Marussia teams. Now that is different.
The guest list for the fashion shows is vast and includes royalty, designers, Hollywood stars, supermodels, the F1 fraternity, plus the aforementioned F1 models – how can you resist?
Continuing the fashion focus, on the feminine side we have the amazing collaboration of designers Odabash and Macdonald – British fashion par excellence.
This follows on from a litany of big big names that have supported the Amber Lounge in the past including Missoni, Matthew Williamson, Hervé Léger, Hugo Boss, Chopard, TAG Heuer, and many, many more. Well established elite names that echo the best in fashion.
If you don’t know Obadash then ask yourself what Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford, Elle MacPherson, Rhianna, Lady Gaga, Cheryl Cole, Beyonce choose to wear on vacation. Yup, you got it – Melissa Odabash. By the way that list is far from exhaustive!
Is it worth going? Certainly. Will it cost a fortune? Not as much as you think – do bear in mind this is a charity event so you will be helping a worthy cause. The U*Nite Dinner with the F1 driver fashion show starts at €900 per person for a shared table, the fantastic after-party is €350. Of course tables are bookable although they are going fast, what do you expect, it is Grand Prix week!

Let’s face it, the real problem is trying to decide what to wear!!
