Another exciting week looms large, filled with a multitude of activities and experiences to suit all kinds of interests. Whether you’re looking for something to occupy the kids or something to keep yourself amused, you’ve come to the perfect place.

Once again Octobre Rose and Breast Cancer Awareness Month is at the forefront, alongside brocantes, braderies and vide-greniers, e-rallies, competitive rope climbing, rubber duck races, painting murals, classical music recitals, to name but some of the myriad activities happening in the region. You’ll definitely find plenty here to keep all the family happy!

October is recognised as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a global initiative to raise awareness, encourage fundraising for research and support, and promote early detection of breast cancer. There are plenty of activities taking place around the region in the coming days and weeks. The 30th anniversary of the e-Rallye de Monte-Carlo finishes up today, with the drivers racking up 340 kilometres of tortuous rallying. The programme for the day is available on the Automobile Club de Monaco website. Action starts at 7am today and parc fermé is at 4:35pm in Monaco, followed by the prize giving.

Throughout the weekend, les Journées Nationales de l’Architecture take place throughout France. Come and discover the architectural heritage of Antibes Juan-les-Pins through urban walks, guided tours, conferences and workshops for children. There is an action-packed day lined up in Mandelieu-La Napoule in support of Octobre Rose, starting at 10 am at the Sports Health Village, located in Parc Robinson. Here you will find information booths, discussions, breast cancer prevention/screening, fitness assessment, first aid, skill and balance games, health quizzes, activity demos, and a lot more! There will also be musical entertainment and food trucks on site. The Défi Rose will take place at 11 am, a 5km walk, organised by la Ligue contre le Cancer 06. A Parade of Unidentified Floating Objects takes place at 1:30 pm on kayak and paddle board, with participants in disguise! Then at 3 pm., we have the big Duck Release, organized by the Lion’s Club – more than 4,000 numbered rubber ducks will be released from the Avenue de la Mer bridge. Get your ticket for the “Adopt a Duck” raffle by calling +33 (0)6 04 55 07 04 (€4 per ticket, €10 for 3, and €30 for a booklet!).

Start off the weekend as you mean to go with the 2nd edition of the Challenge Corde, organised by the Sapeurs Pompiers de Monaco. Several teams from all over France and Monaco will gather at the Chapiteau de l’Espace Fontvieille to participate in the event. Come cheer on the participants and experience the intensity of the Challenge! Starting at 8:30am and running through until 5:30pm, that’s going to be a lot of ropes climbed!

Antibes Juan-les-Pins hosts the 6th Festival Coul’Heures d’Automne, starting today and running until the 1st November, 2025. This International Festival of Urban Art brings together international artists and residents who over the previous five editions of the project have been involved with the creation and mapping of 50 large-scale murals, making Antibes Juan les Pins the capital of street art on the French Riviera. The Braderie Cannoise organised by the Mairie de Cannes comes to an end today. There is an impressive list of retailers participating in the event which runs from 10am to 7pm. Entertainment is also on the cards, with a parade of dancers and musicians (city centre area) and musical interludes. Grasse will be hosting a regional Brasero competition which brings together amateurs and professionals of braised gastronomy. Taking place on the Cours Honoré Cresp from 10am to 4pm and under the expert eye of renowned chefs, this event is open to all. Organized by La Brigade du Feu, come enjoy the festivities in a friendly and convivial atmosphere. You can also get involved in tasting the delicious dishes! This weekend, Nice celebrates the inauguration of the Promenade du Paillon Season 2, almost 12 years to the day since La Coulée Verte became the Promenade du Paillon (who remembers that?) Starting at 10am on the Esplanade de la Bourgada, there will be musical entertainment with la garde municipale, a Niçois buffet, and entertainment for children and adults alike! Continuing in Cannes and running until tomorrow, Sunday, 19th October, the Conseil Local en Santé Mentale (CLSM) is organising Mental Health Awareness Weeks – SISM 2025, under the banner « Pour notre santé mentale, réparons le lien social » (For our mental health, let’s repair social ties). The event will bring together numerous stakeholders to inform, listen, share, and fight the stigma of mental health disorders. The 19th edition of Cinéalma L’âme de la Méditerranée continues, running until tomorrow, Sunday, 19th October at the Salle Juliette Gréco in Carros. The festival offers an intimate portrait of the Mediterranean basin through the diversity of its cinema. From France to the Maghreb, from Spain to Lebanon, from Tunisia to Egypt, Cinéalma takes us on a journey of discovery through this tremendous abundance of creativity with some fifteen countries represented. Theatre troupe Les Saltimbardes presents Parenthèse Théâtrale – Reconstitution as part of the official selection of the Scènes d’Automne 2025 festival. This new theatrical production, a family detective story, directed by Florent Bonetto, is a reimagining of Agatha Christie’s play “Reenactment,” which was also adapted from her own novel, Five Little Pigs. Taking place at Salle Charlie Chaplin in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Performance starts at 8pm, Charlie’s Bar opens at 7pm. Show suitable for those 9 years and older. Tickets cost €20 and may be reserved online.

The final concert of the 20th edition of the Festival International d’Orgue de Monaco takes place this evening with a concert entitled “L’Héritage de Bretagne 2.0″, featuring the Pêr Vari Kervarec Trio. They had the honour of performing on the parvis of the Sainte-Dévote church during the Prince’s wedding in 2011, as the procession was leaving. During this concert, the ensemble will evoke the ancient Grimaldi sites of Brittany. The trio is made up of Pêr Vari Kervarec (Breton song and bombards), Loeiz Méhat (saxophones and bagpipes) and Tony Dudognon on organ. The concert takes place in the Église de Saint-Charles at 8:30pm. Free admission subject to availability.

Beaulieu-sur-Mer hosts the 9th edition of SWIMRUN CÔTE D’AZUR, an endurance event that alternates between sea swimming and coastal trail running. The event is made up of teams of two with three course formats – an 8km, 17km and 30km course. Registration for the event has now closed but why not come along and support the participants in their endeavours?

With the school holidays starting, this is the perfect event for the little ones. Taking place at the Théâtre de la Licorne, Le festival P’tits Cannes à You has an incredibly busy programme on offer, with film screenings, workshops, theatre and dance productions and so much more. Enjoy a family afternoon out at le Trophée d’Auguste in La Turbie today from 2:30 – 3:30pm. The Cie Qui-Bout will be entertaining all with an archaeologically-based comedy show featuring a large square sandbox which becomes an excavation site, a playground for the two characters who, bringing their discoveries to life, tell us stories from another time. The 36th edition of the SPORTEL Awards takes place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, running from today until Tuesday next, 21st Ocotber, 2025. At its core, this event is an international competition showcasing the year’s finest sports footage, culminating in a Ceremony that’s open to the public and completely free of charge. The public can also get further involved with the sports personalities attending through a series of meet and greets and autograph-signing sessions.

Saint-Paul de Vence celebrates its annual Fête des Vendanges et des Châtaignes form 10 am to 6 pm in Place De Gaulle. This festival brings together the winegrowers from Saint-Paul de Vence and the Pays Vençois region, along with numerous local producers and artisans. A great day out is guaranteed with with market stalls, entertainment for the children,a musical atmosphere, and so much more! As part of its Classiques Restaurés season, La Cinémathèque de Nice will be screening the classic Midnight Cowboy (1969 | 1h53 | USA) today at 4pm. Directed by John Schlesinger and starring Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight, the film was a huge success in theatres and remains to this day the only X-rated film to have won three Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director. This is one of the most anticipated events of the year, attracting tens of thousands of visitors, all looking for that great deal. There is plenty going on in the world of theatre around the region. The Anthéa in Antibes has an amazing programme of shows and performances lined up for the 2025/’26 season. The Théâtre National de Nice also has an impressive line-up for its new season as does the Théâtre de la Cité in Nice who have a very busy programme for the upcoming season.
