Colette Kent is back on the French Riviera for a short stay and will be holding two Ayurvedic workshops at the beginning of March.

Not so long ago, Colette was one of the pillars of the expat community here on the French Riviera and her studio in the port of Nice, FitHub, was a real fitness and social community open to all, regardless of nationality, age and fitness levels. But after many years in the region, Colette decided to travel to Bali and it was during her year out that she rediscovered the fascinating world of Ayurveda, the ‘science of Life’.

Back on the Côte d’Azur for a few weeks, she will now hold two workshops, one in Villefranche on Sunday the 1st of March and another one in Nice the following day, to share her experience and help individuals gain a deeper understanding of their particular mental and physical constitution.

Ayurveda is the ancient Indian natural healthcare system which teaches people to have a complete approach to living their life in accordance with the nature and to realize that the keys to ultimate health and contentment are actually in their own hands. It emphasizes thus the importance of creating and maintaining positive health and focuses on preventing the imbalances that lead to disease. It also considers all levels of the individual, which include the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, behavioral, physical, familial, social, environmental and universal levels.

As Colette best describes it “Ayurveda is not a religion, but if it was, Mother Nature would be the Goddess!”

Both workshops will cover the following topics:

• The history & philosophy of Ayurveda
• The different Ayurvedic body types or ‘Doshas’
• Discover your individual Dosha
• Ayurvedic nutrition and the importance of good digestion
• Learn how to rebalance your body through diet & lifestyle
• When, where, what and how to eat

They will be held respectively in the Carpaccio restaurant in Villefranche on Sunday, 1st March, from 5 to 6:30pm, and in the Nice Life Café in Nice on Monday, 2nd March from 7 to 8:30pm. The cost is €25 (including drinks and nibbles) and you can register by emailing Colette.
