CANNESERIES returns for its 9th season from April 23rd to 28th. As every year, the Mairie de Cannes allows Cannes residents to enjoy the festival by obtaining advance tickets, under certain conditions and subject to availability, on a first-come, first-served basis. Ticket distribution will take place this morning starting at 9 am in the salon Marianne of the Hôtel de Ville. Two tickets will be given out per person present and per household.

The 119th edition of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters ATP 1000 tournament gets underway today, with the final taking place on Sunday week, 12th April, 2026. Taking place on the iconic clay courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club, this year’s tournament boasts a stellar line-up of the biggest names in men’s tennis including Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic amongst many others.

Come celebrate Easter in Vence with a three day extravaganza, running from today until Easter Monday. There will be pop-up shops showcasing young designers, a craft market, plant nurseries, gourmet food trucks offering sweet and savoury treats, storytelling at the old wash house, workshops, and other activities for all the family to enjoy. There will be folk dances with La Brissaudo at Place du Grand Jardin at 2:45 pm this afternoon.

The 5th edition of the Marching Band Festival takes place over this Easter weekend in Antibes Juan-les-Pins. Today will feature seven groups of seven to fourteen musicians each, who will parade through the streets of Antibes Juan-les-Pins. Parades take place at 11:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 4:30 pm to 6 pm.

The Festival Printemps des Arts continues in Monaco with L’Odyssée TransAntarctic featuring the Ensemble Calliopée. This immersive concert takes place at 3 pm at the Salle Garnier, Opéra de Monte-Carlo. Tickets cost €20 and may be reserved online.

Le Ballet de l’Opéra de Nice presents the final performances of Après la Pluie this weekend. A programme that brings together two works that address the human condition from two opposing poles: one marked by loss, the other by awakening. Dancing on the Front Porch of Heaven by Ulysses Dove, turns inward, while Petrichor by Pontus Lidberg, opens outward, toward life, desire, and connection. There are two performances today, at 3 pm and 8 pm. Tickets cost from €5 to €47 and may be reserved online.
The Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo undertakes a gigantic work from the symphonic repertoire, the Turangalîla-Symphonie, a vast hymn to joy and love composed by Olivier Messiaen. This concert is part of the Festival Printemps des Arts. Also featuring Vincent David on saxophone, Jean-Frédéric Neuburger on piano, and Nathalie Forget on Ondes Martenot. The concert takes place at 7:30 pm at the Salle des Princes in the Grimaldi Forum. Tickets cost from €26 to #36 and may be reserved online.
The Béjart Ballet Lausanne perform at the Palais Nikaïa in Nice tonight at 8 pm. On the programme we have Boléro, Firebird and €Béjart et Nous. Tickets cost from €49 to €135 and may be reserved online.

SUNDAY, 5th APRIL

Les Cols Connectés 2026 get underway today with the first of eight excursions over the coming months. First up is Col de la Madone, a total parcours of 12.3 km with a total elevation gain of 850 m. The occasion will be marked by the presence of cycling legends Gianni Bugno, Stephen Roche, Mika Cherel and Claudio Chiapucciand, underscoring the enduring appeal and prestige of the region within the sport.

Come and meet the artists of Haut-de-Cagnes from 11 am to 6 pm today, as part of the Art en Fête series. It’s the perfect opportunity to stroll through its medieval streets and discover passionate creators, including our good friend Esty Grossman, jeweller extraordinaire! The latest immersive experience, L’Odyssée Céleste, continues in the Basilica of Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption in Nice’. This incredible show (run extended through April), designed and executed by Luminiscence, transforms sacred architecture into living narrative through light, sound, and technology. There are two shows per night on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays only. Tickets start from €19 and may be reserved online (reduced rates also available).

The Easter celebrations conclude in Vence today with the Grand corso fleuri de la Reine de Vence followed by a bataille de fleurs alongside costumed dancers at 2:30 pm. The 2026 edition of No Finish Line® Nice gets underway today at 2 pm on the Quai des États-Unis in Nice. The event continues until Sunday evening, 12th April, taking place along the Promenade des Anglais. Every kilometre completed is counted, and at the end of the event, organisers donate €1 per kilometre to projects supporting children.

Médiathèque Caroline in Monaco hosts a meet and greet session with Charlotte Casiraghi where she will be signing copies of her book, La fêlure. A sensitive and literary exploration of the concept of fracture, drawing on the texts and lives of writers, poets, and adventurers. NEO – art & culture lab x VogelART presents Behind the Scenes, an exhibition by Stefan Ludes. The vernissage takes place tonight from 6 pm – 10 pm. The exhibition runs until Sunday, 12th April, open from 2 pm to 7 pm each day.
The Trinquette Jazz Club in Villefranche-sur-Mer hosts an evening entitled Les Causeries – Claude Nougaro et le Jazz, starting at 6 pm. Claude Nougaro passed away in 2004, embodying the ideal fusion of poetry, song, and jazz, sometimes tinged with gospel and South American rhythms. This evening will be a special occasion to pay tribute to this poet of the French language through his most famous jazz adaptations. This concert-discussion will be led by pianist Andreas Schedl of the group Pounkipa, singer-saxophonist Franck Mazzarese of the group Anatole, and commentary by the group’s leader, Andres Garcia. Les Jeudis du Jazz continue at the Théâtre Alexandre III in Cannes. The organisers have scored a big coup in securing virtuoso pianist Paul Lay for an exceptional concert showcasing his album Odyssée. A bold and sensitive artist, Lay masterfully bridges classical and contemporary influences, crafting a jazz language that is distinctly his own. The concert starts at 19h30 and is open to all (from the age of 13 upwards). The Légendes de Nice 2026 – International Car and Motorcycle Competition gets underway today in Jardin Albert 1er, adjacent to Place Masséna, running throughout the weekend until Sunday. Since its inception, the event has revived the memories of enthusiasts and those feeling nostalgic by showcasing iconic cars and motorcycles from all eras. From the Belle Époque to the Trente Glorieuses (the thirty glorious years of post-war economic boom), visitors can admire nearly 250 vehicles, including rare concours d’élégance models, hypercars, iconic cars, rally cars, and Grand Prix motorcycles. The event brings together collectors, enthusiasts, prestigious brands, and the general public in an exceptional urban setting. The full programme for each of the three days is available online.

The programme for the 65th edition of the renowned Jazz à Juan festival has officially been unveiled, and it promises to be one of the standout music events of the summer. Running from 9th – 19th July, the festival returns to its iconic setting in the Pinède Gould in Juan-les-Pins. Tickets are now on sale.

Calling all budding writers! The Écrire Cannes writing competition is underway – closing date for entries is 27 April 2026. Organized by the Mairie de Cannes and local libraries, this competition invites participants to write a short story on a theme related to the city. This year’s theme is « Cannes durable : imaginons la ville de demain » (Sustainable Cannes: Let’s imagine the city of tomorrow). Further details on the Ville de Cannes website.

The Casa di Goethe is opening its art repository and presenting new works, including pieces added to the collection in recent years. Artists from Goethe’s circle, including Johann Heinrich Wilhelm Tischbein and Jakob Philipp Hackert, continue to form a focal point of the collection. They are represented in the exhibition with some excellent and particular drawings. Running until 12th April, 2026.
The winners of the Messner Mountain Museum Photo competition are being honoured with an exhibition of their photos in MMM Firmian. The winners are: 1st place – Bernhard Hartmann – MMM Corones | 2nd place: Erwin Flor – MMM Firmian | 3rd place: Clara Schönthaler – MMM Juval. Congratulations to them all!
