It’s in the Bag for UNICEF

This June, you have the opportunity to help disadvantaged children and UNICEF through a very unique and special tombola.

I had a wonderful opportunity to take photographs of the delightful singer and actress Bobbi Crawford at Le Negresco in Nice. You may ask why a patchwork handbag features in every single shot? Let me explain why.

Scarlett Boutique is a fashionable ladies boutique owned by French Riviera couple Laetitia and Carlos, located in the Port area of Nice on rue Arson. Apart from being a boutique, Carlos actually crafts beautiful handbags for ladies on the premises under the name Karl Backwell. Carlos is passionate about ensuring everything is eco friendly, ethically sourced, and especially that producers do not use child labour.

This is the first time Alpes-Maritime UNICEF have partnered with Scarlett Boutique and Karl Backwell Compliance in a tombola. The tombola is for a very individual patchwork creation incorporating Carlos’s patented security pocket invention. In fact it is the first time UNICEF have partnered with any business to raise funds in this way.

The draw will take place at 8pm on 21st June (which as we all know is also la Fête de la Musique!) in the boutique, with the President of UNICEF Alpes-Maritimes, Mr Claude Fondecave, making the draw. It will be a happy, busy, fun-filled evening – a glass of champagne will also be on offer to celebrate the event!

ALL monies received will be given to UNICEF to directly aid disadvantaged children. This has been written into the partnering agreement! Tickets cost only €2 each – you can get tickets from the boutique or from me directly.
