Burn Off Those Christmas Calories With the 2013 Prom Classic in Nice!

The annual Prom Classic is back in early January to help you get in shape after all the over-indulging during the Festive Season!

Mark Sunday, 6th January down in your diaries as one of your first New Year’s Resolutions – running the Prom Classic 10km race in Nice! What better way to start 2013 than with a bit of exercise, preparing you for the long year ahead, and enjoying the spectacular views along the Promenade des Anglais. The race is also a bit special this time around, as one of the iconic landmarks of the Promenade, Le Negresco, celebrates its centenary.

The Prom Classic, now in its 14th year, is traditionally very well supported. For this edition, numbers are limited to 7,000 participants, so waste no time in submitting that entry! There is also a special offer in place for those wishing to enter both the Prom Classic and the Rock ‘n’ Roll 10 Miles event to be held during Carnaval in February.

As an added benefit to those who may be new to the sport, why not consider attending some of the training sessions on offer? These are run courtesy of some of the more passionate runners, who will be available to dispense strategic advice and encouragement to all. These sessions will be held at 10am on the 1st, 8th and 15th of December (Saturdays), starting from just in front of the Théâtre de la Verdure on the Promenade des Anglais.

There will also be a Running Expo Village in place from the 4th – 6th January, open to participants and the public alike. Runners will be able to pick up their race numbers here from 1pm on Friday, 4th January, and also discover for themselves what is new in the world of running apparel and equipment.
