The 3rd annual Pink Ribbon Monaco Walk takes place this March, to show solidarity for victims and survivors of breast cancer.

Mark Sunday, 16th March in your diaries for the third edition of the Pink Ribbon Monaco walk. This year there is a brand new circuit for the event, and the good news for some of us, a later start time of 10:30am!

This walk has proven to be very popular since its inception, with hundreds of supporters participating last year. The organisers encourage everyone to come along again this March decked out in whatever pink clothing or accessories you might have, and add your bit of colour to the proceedings!

Route for 2014 Pink Ribbon Monaco Walk

The walk is open to everyone, and makes for a great family event – you can even bring the dog with you! Entry costs €30 for adults and €10 for children under 13 years of age. There will also be a special prize (or prizes) for the child (children) with the Best Costumes.

Further information regarding the event is available on the Pink Ribbon Monaco website, and you may register for the event via the Monaco Run website. Postal entries maybe downloaded here (PDF file).

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide, comprising 16% of all female cancers. When detected at an early stage, it can usually be cured. But men are also susceptible to the disease, accounting for 1% of all male cancer diagnoses, and sadly on the increase.

Many of the participants in the walk are survivors of the disease or are in remission. To quote Pink Ribbon Monaco ‘Together we will bring new hope and courage to all victims of breast cancer’.

See you in Port Hercule on Sunday, 16th March, and let’s add our voice to this most worthy of causes.
