The Look of the Year 2025 in Monaco: Impressions of an Evening Full of the Future

The Look of the Year event gives visibility to young and aspiring models and designers. It sends out a signal: the future of fashion belongs to a generation that lives self-confidence, attitude and diversity as a matter of course. This year’s event was no different, starting with palpable energy, and ending with just as much enthusiasm.

At a time when beauty ideals have become flexible and multi-layered, the competition shows how the modelling profession has changed. Physical presence remains important, but success comes from more: authenticity, professionalism and fun, as well as the ability to remain confident under pressure. Young talents demonstrated exactly that – with strong walks and precise realisation of the designer looks.

Previous winners have proven that the platform has an impact and have since built up global reach and secured international collaborations. Look of the Year thus remains a relevant starting point for careers that assert themselves in both the digital and real world.

This year, Günther Weig, CEO of Glamourfaces in Berlin, took on the arduous and enviable task of photographically documenting the evening for us. He knows the industry, its dynamics and the moments that count.

Here you can see the winners, Daniela Lavric and Antuan Gafiatullin, last year’s winner Eliseth Santacruz Gonzales, some of the other participants, the fashion, the poses, as well as the scope and creativity. The result is beautiful and inspires anew!

Born in the countryside in Germany and naturally connected to nature, I have always appreciated living in big cities and different countries. Nature and culture have always been inspiring teachers. I am passionate about society, nature, fashion, art and the subtle interrelationships between them - as well as the exciting spaces that arise from them. Bordighera and the sea are my other loves.
