Lenny Kravitz cannot get enough of the French Riviera – after headlining the Jazz à Juan festival this summer, he plays the Nikaïa in Nice next May, surely one of the musical events of 2019 in the region.
This concert is part of the Raise Vibration Tour, a worldwide series of gigs in support of the multitalented artist’s 11th studio album. Released in September, this effort has already produced two hits “It’s Enough”, described in a press release as a “tense, decisive rumination on the global state of affairs today”, (think corporate greed, political corruption, racism), and the introspective “Low”, which deals with the issue of preconceptions at the beginning of a relationship and is layered with horns, strings and multilayered vocals with the help from the late great Michael Jackson.
With the help of long-time guitarist and collaborator Craig Ross, Kravitz has personally produced and played all the instruments on Raise Vibrations, whether it’s guitar, bass, piano, bongos or even the sitar, to offer once again a unique blend of rock, soul, funk, and psych.
