The Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo has once again secured its place among the elite of international hospitality, earning a spot in the prestigious World’s 50 Best Hotels ranking for 2026.
The fourth edition of the awards ceremony recently took place at the Salles du Carrousel in Paris, bringing together leading figures from the global tourism and luxury hospitality industries. The iconic Monaco hotel was ranked 40th among the world’s finest properties.
Louis Starck, General Manager of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, attended the ceremony alongside Hotel Manager Vincent Chasseignaux.
An enduring symbol of Monaco
The latest accolade follows further international recognition for the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, which was also included in La Liste 2026, ranking the world’s top 1,000 hotels.

Built in 1864, the Hôtel de Paris has been at the heart of Monaco’s hospitality scene for more than 160 years. Its distinctive Belle Époque architecture and prominent position on the Place du Casino have made it one of the Principality’s most recognisable landmarks.
The hotel also enjoys an exceptional location alongside some of Monte-Carlo’s best-known attractions, including the Casino de Monte-Carlo, Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo and the Opéra de Monte-Carlo.
Michelin-starred dining
Gastronomy remains central to the Hôtel de Paris experience, with its restaurants holding a combined four Michelin stars.
Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse à l’Hôtel de Paris holds three Michelin stars, while Le Grill, situated on the hotel’s eighth floor, has one star.
The culinary offering extends further with Em Sherif Monte-Carlo, bringing Lebanese flavours to the Principality, while the legendary Bar Américain combines cocktails and live jazz in one of Monaco’s most atmospheric settings.
Cédric Grolet Monte-Carlo, located in the heart of the hotel’s Patio, adds another dimension with a selection of creations from the celebrated French pastry chef.
Rooms and exceptional suites
Following an extensive five-year renovation completed in 2019, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo combines its historic character with contemporary luxury.

The hotel features 206 rooms and suites, including its prestigious Diamond Suites. Among the most notable are the Diamond Suite Prince Rainier III and Diamond Suite Princess Grace, both paying tribute to two of the most important figures in Monaco’s modern history.
A remarkable wine heritage
Hidden beneath the Hôtel de Paris is another extraordinary part of its history. Built in 1874, its legendary wine cellars lie 12 metres below ground and extend across approximately 1,500 square metres.
Home to more than 300,000 bottles and over 11,000 different labels, they are regarded as the world’s largest hotel wine cellars.
Their exceptional collection received further recognition in June 2026, when the cellars were awarded the Best of Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator, highlighting both the quality and breadth of the wines housed beneath the hotel.
More than 160 years of hospitality
From its Belle Époque architecture and Michelin-starred restaurants to its exceptional suites and historic wine cellars, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo continues to combine tradition with the standards expected of contemporary luxury hospitality.

Its inclusion among the World’s 50 Best Hotels for 2026 provides another international endorsement of a Monaco institution that has welcomed generations of guests since opening its doors in 1864.
More than a century and a half later, the Hôtel de Paris remains an integral part of Monte-Carlo’s identity and one of the Principality’s most enduring symbols of luxury hospitality.
