The 8th annual Forum pour l’emploi returns to Nice this coming Thursday, offering plenty of opportunities for employers and jobseekers alike.

The Palais des Expositions in Nice is once again the venue for this year’s Forum pour l’emploi, which takes place on Thursday, 14th February 2013, running from from 9am to 6pm. There will be some 150 enterprises represented at the event, offering in the region of 2,000 jobs to the successful candidates. The forum is open to all, irrespective of education or qualifications, and entry is free.

The objectives of the forum are to primarily instigate contact between employers and motivated jobseekers and potential employees, help raise awareness of the various sectors involved in the event through a variety of workshops, talks, and seminars, and provide advice for those wishing to set up their own businesses.

There will be companies from all the major economic sectors represented on the day including: construction and public works companies, distribution and commerical enterprises, hotel and restaurant sector representatives, banking and insurance companies, the defence forces, to name but some. The previously mentioned talks take place on the hour in two different areas within the event space – you can find out more about the complete programme on the Forum website to help you decide which ones suit you best.

The statistics for the 2012 edition of the forum make for interesting reading. The event attracted more than 12,000 visitors, with 96 companies in attendance; 12,487 interviews were conducted on the day, with 265 contracts signed. Hopefully we can expect more good news like this from next Thursday’s event.
