Sunset Pops Up in Monaco

A new concept in entertainment comes to Monaco this May – check out Sunset, the pop-up club based in Le Méridien Beach Plaza Hotel.

Over the weekend of the Monaco Grand Prix this May, a novel pop-up club is coming to the Principality. Sunset, the brainchild of Cedric Houdrouge and Thomas Peeters of Consulting Luxury Services, will be located on the beach at Le Méridien Beach Plaza Hotel, and will definitely be one of the hotspots for the high-flying GP crowd.

Guests will be able to enjoy all the benefits of the hotel and the beach, whether sipping a cocktail by the water’s edge, or taking a swim in the Mediterranean. And of course, there will be eight plasma screen televisions around the club for those who want to keep up with all the F1 action happening on the streets of Monte-Carlo, or the final of the Champions League on the Saturday night.

Sunset though is also going to be one of the partyspots for the weekend. Over the three days and nights, there will be a variety of DJ’s and live music on offer, featuring both local and international acts.

On Friday night, 24th May, there is the first Sunset Beach Party, called ‘Discovery’. The second party on Saturday is ‘Begins’ and the final event on Sunday, 26th is appropriately entitled ‘Closing’. These parties run from noon until midnight each day. Dress code for the club is described as ‘Chic and Cool – at the beach‘.

Entrance to Sunset is free, but the organisers recommend that you book a table to be guaranteed entry, as this will be one very popular venue. The cheapest tables start at €2,500 for a table of 10, and this price rises up to €15,000 for a Super VIP DJ table for 16. Reservations may be made by emailing the organisers.

Sunset, an alternative and novel way to enjoy the Grand Prix weekend, far from the madding crowd. You might want to make a detour via the Casino first though!
