A vibrant week lies ahead of us, packed with events and experiences for every taste. From cultural highlights to simple pleasures, the region is once again brimming with life.

Whether you’re in the mood for a dazzling performance, a festival celebration, or just an unhurried stroll along the Mediterranean as autumn settles in, this is the perfect moment to step outside and savour it all.

So, without further ado, here’s our taster of what’s on offer this week.

The Monaco Yacht Show
, taking place in Port Hercule, comes to an end today. Organised under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, the show this year boasts a prestigious fleet of 120 superyachts, along with plenty of other great attractions like the Adventure Area and Upper Deck Lounge. You may book your Visitor or Sapphire Experience Pass online. Please note that passes are only available online, there are no sales on-site. You will receive a digital voucher to present at the entrances.

The outdoor photographic exhibition by Guillaume Plisson at the Monaco Yacht Show, Tribute to Yachting, also concludes today. This amazing exhibition features stunning photographs of the yachting world and invites visitors to see beyond the yachts themselves – into the passion, craftsmanship, and vision that bring them to life.

A short hop, skip and jump along the coast, Les Régates Royales de Cannes also come to an end today This it the largest classic yacht regatta in the world and this year’s edition has been a huge success. Catch all the action in the Baie de Cannes.

The Association Economie Tourisme Commerce presents La Grande Braderie in the streets of Juan-les-Pins, which continues today and runs thoughtout the weekend. Along with the 100+ shops participating, there will also be plenty of street activities, concerts and, of course, bargains!

The Antibes Development Council is holding its citizens’ forum today, the theme this year being Culture et Patrimoine (Culture and Heritage) and will take place at the Palais des Congrès Antipolis in Juan-les-Pins from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be round table discussions taking pace throughout the morning. If you would like to participate, please register online.

Hangar 14 in Aéroport de Cannes Mandelieu is the home of the 2025 edition of the Fête de l’Aviation this weekend, a festive and educational event open to all including families, enthusiasts, and students. The event aims to showcase the diversity of aeronautics activities, its training, and its future. There is a very busy programme in place over the two days with various presentations, workshops and exhibitions. Open from 10am to 6pm. Foodtrucks and restaurants on site.

La Compagnie Gorgomar and Le 109 pôle de cultures contemporaines in Nice present the 5th edition of Festival Clown Power, which is running throughout the weekend. The festival highlights the art of clowning, burlesque, and circus. There is an amazing programme in place with plenty to suit all the family. Admission is free and you can support the event by purchasing badges and posters, by joining the volunteer team or by making a donation.

Our friends in Masséna Around the World are hosting an evening with author Ruby Soames who will be signing copies of her latest novel, Homewrecked. The event is free of charge and runs from 5-7pm. It is open to all and there is no need to reserve. Come one, come all!, as they say

Throughout the day, Le Rouret celebrates its Fête du Livre, this year’s theme being ‘An Invitation to Travel and Reflection.’ There will be book signings, public readings, creative workshops in calligraphy and poetry writing and entertainment with a musical aperitif with Jean-Luc Irondelle (12:30 p.m.) Free admission – Place de la Libération from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

La Grande Braderie in the streets of Juan-les-Pins presented by the Association Economie Tourisme Commerce concludes today. Your last chance to grab some fantastic bargains and enjoy the street activities and concerts laid on by the organisers.

The Fête de l’Aviation concludes today at Hangar 14 in Aéroport de Cannes Mandelieu. There is a very busy programme in place with various presentations, workshops and exhibitions. Open from 10am to 6pm. Foodtrucks and restaurants on site.

The 5th edition of Festival Clown Power, organised by La Compagnie Gorgomar and taking place at Le 109 pôle de cultures contemporaines in Nice, concludes today. The festival aims to highlight the art of clowning, burlesque, and circus and there is an amazing programme in place. Tonight marks the last night of the week-long initiative of lighting up the Hôtel de Ville in Cannes and Le Suquet in gold to raise awareness of pediatric cancers, the leading cause of death from disease in children. Kudos to the Ville de Cannes.

The 42nd edition of the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference takes place at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, running until Thursday, 2nd October. This is the annual international event for the duty free and travel retail industry, brinigng together more than 3,000 prestigious brands. The event offers a programme of conferences and workshops where ideas and experiences are shared, and business is developed. Visitors may register online for the event.

The Festival de Nice Cinéroman starts today and runs until Saturday, 4th October. It occupies a particular niche within France’s cultural landscape, focusing specifically on adaptation rather than broader cinema programming. The Médiathèque de Monaco presents the Picnic Music Live mini concert series each Tuesday. The lunchtime concerts take place in the Vidéothèque – Sonothèque José Notari and start at 12:15pm. Admission is free. Further information available by calling +377 93 15 29 40

Wheelchair tennis returns to the Côte d’Azur with the French Riviera Open, starting today and running until Sunday, 5th October, at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy. Prepare to discover an explosive level of play and experience breathtaking emotions with this transformative immersive adventure. Admission is free throughout hte week and tickets on sale for the semi-finals on Saturday and the final on Sunday

Today marks the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a global initiative to raise awareness, encourage fundraising for research and support, and promote early detection of breast cancer. We will keep you informed of the various events planned around the region in the coming days and weeks.

One event that we are more than happy to promote is the Pink Ribbon Gala in Monaco on Saturday, 11th October, an evening where where timeless glamour and heartfelt mission unite.

If you are in Monaco, why not take some time and check out the Petit Marché du Larvotto, which takes place every Thursday from 8 am to 1 pm. Located on the Esplanade Joséphine Baker, near the Lartigue Fountain. A weekly event to complement the municipal markets, delighting foodies and fresh produce lovers.

Staying in Monaco, Oktoberfest comes to the Principality for three days at Marché de la Condamine, running until Saturday, 4th October. Starting at 7pm each night, there will be musical entertainment with the Orchestre Tyrolfest and traditional dishes to be savoured! Reservations must be made through the merchants at la Halle.

The 38th Mouans-Sartoux Book Festival gets underway today and runs throughout the weekend. The theme of this year’s edition is Quel Monde Demain? (What will the world of tomorrow be like?) There will be some 300 authors in attendance, and up to 50,000 visitors are expected over the weekend for this eco-responsible event. Admission to the festival is free, though there are some paid movie screenings. The festival runs from 10am to 7pm each day.

Starting today and running throughout the weekend, the Azur Arena becomes the world stage for acrobatics with the Trampoline and Tumbling World Cup. A totalof 35 nations will compete in a spectacle that defies the laws of gravity. Organised by Antibes Acrobatics. Individual tickets and mulitday passes may be purchased online.

The 25th edition of Un Festival C’est Trop Court takes place in Nice, starting today and running until Saturday, 10th October. This renowned short film festival is a meeting place for both audience and the film industry, offering many opportunities for exchanges between professionals and film enthusiasts. The theme for this edition is VOYAGE DANS LA MER / SEANEMA which aims to combine sustainable development, science and cinema with exhibitions, workshops, meetings and screenings. Festival passes and individual tickets may be purchased online. The Opening Night party takes place in Le 109 from 6pm to 11pm tonight and admission is free. Refreshments and snacks will be available and there are plenty of activities planned for the evening.

There is plenty going on in the world of theatre around the region. The Anthéa in Antibes has an amazing programme of shows and performances lined up for the 2025/’26 season. The Théâtre National de Nice also has an impressive line-up for its new season as does the Théâtre de la Cité in Nice who just recently launched the programme for its new season.
