So, without further ado, here’s our taster of what’s on offer on the Côte d’Azur this week.
SATURDAY 13th SEPTEMBER
The Cannes Yachting Festival continues throughout the weekend. This is the first of the big boat shows locally bringing together professionals and lovers of the sea and all things maritime alike. Admission is by pre-purchased ticket only. Tickets and VIP tickets may be purchased online and prices start from €40 for a daily ticket. Admission is free for children under 10 years of age.
The 17e Monaco Classic Week – La Belle Classe concludes today Between tradition, transmission and passion, the regatta is a major event on the calendar for maritime heritage lovers, where generations, expertise and the seafaring spirit converge. There is a truly action-packed programme on offer.
If food is more to your liking that big boats, get yourself along to Fréjus for La Grande Fête de l’Omelette Géante (the Great Giant Omelette Festival – yes, you read that right!). More than 15,000 eggs will be broken to prepare the giant omelette in a 3.80 m diameter pan, under the watchful eye of the Knights of the World Brotherhood of the Giant Omelette! The Ville de Fréjus has pulled out all the stops with parades and musical entertainment for this festive and friendly event that attracts several thousand people every year. Taking place in Place de la Poste – Saint-Aygulf today and tomorrow.
The Foire de la Côte d’Azur is currently taking place in MIN D’AZUR in Nice, running until Monday. This edition is guaranteed to be packed with discoveries, entertainment, and bargains. A truly unmissable back-to-school event, here you can find everyting you need to know about home improvements and decoration, wellness and health, and so much more! Running throughout the weekend in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, we have PRESTIGE, the unmissable event for car enthusiasts The event celebrates the elegance, innovation, and heritage of the automobile through a great exhibition and activities for all. This year, the spotlight will be on Creative Europe, and PRESTIGE Sport Automobile will have Endurance as its theme. Free admission and the event runs from 9:30am to 6pm in Place du Centenaire.
The RAJAC Association (Résidence Antiboise des Jeunes Artistes Céramistes) is hosting the 12th edition of the ceramics market at Place des Martyrs de la Résistance in Antibes this weekend. There will be 35 ceramic artists in attendance, representing a wide range of styles and skills, from tableware to sculpture and jewelry. You can watch a wheel-throwing demonstration, view educational panels about ceramics, and invite children to participate in an introductory modeling workshop. From 10am to 8pm, free admission.
Our friends in Masséna Around the World (one of the best bookshops in Nice), are hosting Paul Tracy who will be reading extracts from his wine themed thriller “Red Stream”. As an insider from the wine industry, Paul will have some excellents uggestions of tipples to try whilst reading his book, which takes us from Provence to London, Italy and California. The event is free of charge and runs from 5-7pm. It is open to all and there is no need to reserve. Come one, come all!
The Beaulieu Classic Festival gets underway today with the official opening taking place at 10 am. The first concert of the festival, entitled “Entre Deux Mondes…”, starts at 8:30pm on the Plage de la Petite Afrique and features the Musique de la Garde Municipale de la Ville de Nice orchestra. Admission is free but you do need to register for the concert.
The inaugural comedy festival, Les Remparts du Rire, continues in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, running throughout the weekend in Place de la Courtine. Tickets and daily passes may be purchased online, starting at €24.50. Shows begin at 8:30 pm each night but the venue will be open from 6:30pm until midnight. Enjoy refreshments and snacks from the on-site vendors before or after the show.
SUNDAY 14th SEPTEMBER
More egg-breaking fun and frolics in Fréjus today with the conclusion of La Grande Fête de l’Omelette Géante. Plenty of entertainment for all the family throughout the day, happening in Place de la Poste – Saint-Aygulf.
The Cannes Yachting Festival comes to an end today, having had a hugely successful run. Tickets and VIP tickets may be purchased online and prices start from €40 for a daily ticket. Admission is free for children under 10 years of age.
The 8th Villeneuve’Africa Day takes place in the Pôle Culturel Auguste Escoffier in Villeneuve-Loubet, runnig from 10am to 7pm. Expect a day full of African colour, rhythm, and flavour with plenty of entertainment, music, dance, crafts and gastronomy on tap!
The Marché de la Ceramique (ceramics market) continues at Place des Martyrs de la Résistance in Antibes today. There will be 35 ceramic artists in attendance with workshops and demonstrations on offer. From 10am to 7pm, free admission.
Nice becomes the sports capital of the Côte d’Azur today with the IRONMAN ® World Championship taking place along the Promenade des Anglais. There are numerous traffic restrictions in place, so no harm familiarising yourself with them!
La Colle-sur-Loup hosts the 32nd edition of “La Colle Autrefois” taking you back in time to the sounds of a guinguette! There will be shows, demonstrations, musical entertainment, and other surprises on offer in a joyful, vintage and festive atmosphere. You will disocver local products, artisans, and traditional crafts through demonstrations and workshops for children. Runnng from 10am to 6pm. Free admission and free entertainment!
Enjoy an afternoon out with the family at Trophée d”Auguste in La Turbie with La Quête d’Octavius, a captivating storytelling tour that will immerse young and old alike in the history of ancient Rome. With tour guide Véronique Saint-Marcel, Société Les Pas-Sages. From 2:30 – 3:30pm. €7 for adults, €4 for children.
The Département des Alpes-Maritimes invites you to the creative workshop « Ma boîte vintage » (My Vintage Box) as part of the “S’aMusée” activities at the Musée départemental des Merveilles in Tende at 2:30pm today. A fun and creative workshop for everyone. Inspired by the Cumercia exhibition, visitors can create a vintage wooden box, creating a design reminiscent of products found in shops in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. €3 per person. Mandelieu-La-Napoule hosts the 4th edition of La Baronne Festival today, running from 3pm to midnight at Château de la Napoule. Dive into the enchanting world of the fairground, blending sonic rides, visual attractions, and a wave of creative energy. Plenty of entertainment on tap with music (House & Afro House sets), artistic performances, food trucks & bar, and games, fortune telling, tattoos, face painting, and much more. The Festival d’Art Sacré continues in Antibes with a concert entitled Rossini, l’homme pressé, taking place in Chapelle Saint-Bernardin at 6:30pm. Tickets cost €28.20 (concessions available) and may be reserved online.
L’association Émergence invites you to the Conférence Pacte LUCIA : Les tortues marines en Méditerranée française which takes place at the Cinéma Belmondo in Nice, from 6:30 – 8pm. The event dela with the conservation of loggerhead sea turtles in the French Mediterranean. Admission is free but you must register in advance.

The Princess of Monaco Cup golf tournament, organised by the Fondation Princesse Charlène de Monaco, takes place today and tomorrow, raising money for the various projects being undertaken by the foundation. The competition unfolds at the stunning Monte-Carlo Golf Club, where teams of three – including one celebrity – play in the friendly “Scramble” format.
TUESDAY 16th SEPTEMBER
The Médiathèque de Monaco presents the Picnic Music Live mini concert series each Tuesday. The lunchtime concerts take place in the Vidéothèque – Sonothèque José Notari and start at 12:15pm. Admission is free. Further information available by calling +377 93 15 29 40
The Beaulieu Classic Festival presents Quatuor Agate tonight with a concert revealing the expressive richness and stylistic diversity of the string quartet. They will be playing works by Mozart, Ravel and Haydn. The concert take s place at 7:30pm and tickets may be reserved online.
The Festival d’Art Sacré d’Antibes continues in Antibes with ‘Les Quatre-Saisons’ et concerti d’Antonio Vivaldi. The concert takes place in Cathédrale Notre-Dame de l’Immaculée Conception at 20:45pm. Tickets cost €41.20 (concessions available) and may be reserved online.
WEDNESDAY 17th SEPTEMBER
More action with the Beaulieu Classic Festival this evening with a trio of leading French artists, united by a rare musical complicity and great artistic sensitivity. Edgar Moreau, a cellist with a warm and expressive sound, and his sister Raphaëlle Moreau, a violinist with elegant and precise playing, have long shared a wonderful partnership on stage. Here, they join forces with Shani Diluka, a pianist renowned for her virtuosity and refined interpretation. Concert takes place at 7:30pm in the Casino de Beaulieu-sur-Mer and tickets may be reserved online.
THURSDAY 18th SEPTEMBER
Les Désaxés take to the stage at the Beaulieu Classic Festival tonight. Four wild, virtuoso, and eccentric saxophonists pushing the boundaries of classical concerts! With humor, energy, and precision, they transform the stage into a musical playground: jazz, pop, baroque, electro…a show without words, but full of energy! Concert takes place at 7:30pm n the Casino de Beaulieu-sur-Mer and tickets may be reserved online.
The Festival d’Art Sacré d’Antibes continues with a concert “Requiem” de Fauré, taking place at 20:45pm in the Cathedrale d’Antibes. Also on the programme there will be some Bach and Haydn. Tickets may be reserved online.
FRIDAY 19th SEPTEMBER
The Beaulieu Classic Festival takes a bit of a different direction tonight with a Soirée hommage à l’Opéra Rock (a tribute to rock opera) along with a gala dinner. Immerse yourself in the flamboyant world of Starmania, the cult rock opera by Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon, through an exceptional evening combining emotion, glamour, and vocal power. In an elegant, star-studded setting, this evening will feature a refined gala dinner and a vibrant tribute to a work that has influenced generations for 45 years. Tickets may be reserved online.
We have another concert as part of the Festival d’Art Sacré d’Antibes this evening with “Les plus beaux Ave Maria pour choeur d’enfants”, taking place at at 20:45pm in the Cathedrale d’Antibes. This concert is part of the commemoration of the 900th anniversary of the reconstruction of the cathedral. Tickets may be reserved online.
OTHER EVENTS & ATTRACTIONS
For tennis fans, the Open de Saint-Tropez takes place from next Monday 15th to Sunday 21st September at the Tennis Club de Saint-Tropez. This is an ATP 125 Challenger event. Admission is free to the qualifiers and all rounds up to the final weekend. Tickets for the semis and final can be purchased online.
There is also plenty going on in our theatres around the region. The Anthéa in Antibes has an amazing programme of shows and performances lined up for the 2025/’26 season. The Théâtre National de Nice also has an impressive line-up for its new season.
