In a first for the Principality, Monaco has been chosen to host the MICHELIN Guide France & Monaco Ceremony, where the newly starred restaurants and the winners of the Special Awards for 2026 will be announced.
The MICHELIN Guide France & Monaco 2026 ceremony will be held on 16th March at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco. This initiative is thanks to joint efforts led by the Principality of Monaco and event partners, La Société des Bains de Mer. This commitment reflects the shared determination to showcase the region through its gastronomy.
This year’s edition marks a significant milestone for the Guide: for the fifth consecutive year, the ceremony will spotlight the territories featured in the French and Monegasque selections. The decision to host the event in Monaco – an international capital of haute gastronomie – perfectly embodies this vision.
“By hosting the MICHELIN Guide France & Monaco Ceremony in Monaco for the first time, we are honoring one of the Guide’s historic destinations, whose gastronomic scene epitomizes excellence, creativity and international reach. After holding our ceremony in emblematic locations in western and eastern France and the Loire Valley, we are delighted to bring together the country’s most illustrious gastronomic talents in the generous Southeast–which is part of a living culinary heritage that we are proud to promote.”
GWENDAL POULLENNEC
International Director of the MICHELIN Guides
Monaco has been a fixture of the MICHELIN Guide France & Monaco since the very first edition in 1900, standing as a reference point for both gastronomy and the art of living. Today, under the leadership of world-renowned chefs, the Principality’s culinary scene continues to flourish, distinguished by its daring spirit, boundless creativity, and openness to global influences.
The event will gather all the chefs whose restaurants appear in the 2026 selection, alongside leading figures from the gastronomic world – industry professionals, institutional representatives dedicated to promoting culinary culture, and journalists from France and abroad.

The ceremony will be broadcast live on the MICHELIN Guide’s social channels, ensuring that this exceptional celebration can be shared with the widest possible audience.
Further details of the event will be unveiled in the weeks ahead, so stay tuned!
