After its traditional winter closure, Em Sherif Monte-Carlo reopened in April for a highly anticipated fifth season at the iconic Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo.
Since arriving in Monaco in 2022, the celebrated Lebanese dining destination has brought the vibrant spirit of Beirut to the Riviera, pairing refined hospitality with the rich flavours of the Levant.
Founded by Mireille Hayek in 2011, the Em Sherif group has grown into an international culinary name, with addresses spanning Beirut, London and Doha. At the Monaco outpost, Executive Chef Yasmina Hayek (pictured below) continues the family legacy with elegance and precision. A graduate of the Institut Paul Bocuse, she combines classical technique with a contemporary approach to Lebanese gastronomy, unveiling inventive new dishes each season.

This year’s menu celebrates bold flavours and elevated presentation. Among the standout grilled creations are The Lobster – marinated blue lobster tail skewers served with fennel relish – alongside The Lahmeh Black Angus, featuring marinated Black Angus beef skewers enhanced with za’atar chimurri. Another highlight is the richly satisfying Shawarma Lahmeh, a confit lamb shank paired with artichokes and coriander.
The restaurant’s celebrated mezze selection remains at the heart of the experience. Traditional favourites such as silky Hummus and smoky Muttabal are joined by comforting Batata Harra and grilled marinated Halloumi with roasted tomatoes, each dish showcasing the warmth and generosity that define Lebanese cuisine.
Desserts continue the journey on a decadent note. The signature Baklawa Em Sherif returns in its irresistible pistachio variation, while creations such as Meghli — a delicately spiced rice flour pudding with walnuts — and Coconut Riz bi Halib with mango, passion fruit and cardamom sorbet bring a contemporary flourish to classic Middle Eastern sweets.
The cocktail menu is equally polished, with every signature creation also available in a non-alcoholic version. Favourites include the Beirut Mule, blending rum, arak and citrus, the refreshing Oasis on the Rock with gin, green tea and verbena, and the floral Rose Royale combining Champagne, Saint-Germain and rose.

Set against sweeping Mediterranean views, the terrace remains one of Monte-Carlo’s most atmospheric dining spots. Guests can enjoy live music and DJ performances throughout the season, with entertainment every evening during July and August. The adjoining Shisha Lounge Bar adds to the destination’s cosmopolitan appeal, while select 2026 FIFA World Cup matches will also be screened in the lounge area. The restaurant is now accessible via its new entrance on Avenue de Monte-Carlo.
