Cynthia Milani – Neuroanthropologist

It is always a delight to talk with Cynthia Milani whom I have known for a long time. She is someone who has a real passion for what they do and, most importantly, a drive to share the passion with others to improve lives.

When I think of positivity, I think of Cynthia. She has a background of knowing how the brain works and how it defines the individual. Knowing how the mind works is so valuable in understanding personal drivers and how the individual is connected to others. Neuroscience brings together three keys aspects of people and their interaction with others – Mind + Body + Culture.

Cynthia has worked in over 50 countries bringing together different cultures whilst respecting their diversity in a corporate setting. As companies expand globally, there is a need to look at the cultures in organisations to harmonise them so that they can function as one. That is a very simplistic view of course! Given this background, which involved a huge amount of travel, Cynthia has now created something special on the Riviera that is an oasis. This oasis is an ancient mill house with Roman remains! It is a totally unique place where people can come, learn and gain neuroscience certification. Retreats are offered in the gorgeous setting of the mill house and also in exotic locations such as Egypt and Morocco. People attend from around the world!

Cynthia is an ambassador for Peace, the United Nation’s university for peace in Costa Rica. From this is being developed a Legacy Lab that will involve people who really want to start ‘giving back’ and enjoying doing so. There will be liaisons too with the Nice area.

Armando Milani is Cynthia’s husband, an awesome designer. Anyone who knows the image of the white dove of peace used by the UN knows his work. An amazing thinker and very connected to thoughts of peace, harmony and diversity. He works in Milan although he has a studio at the mill house. A gallery is being created on their property to show off his work which will be near the peace garden which is very close to the brook that runs through their land.
