The first major boat show of the season gets underway in Antibes this April, attracting buyers and professionals from around the world.

The primary focus of the annual Antibes Yacht Show is the pre-season market for yachts and super-yachts, facilitating clients with the purchase of their dream yacht for the upcoming summer season on the Mediterranean or further afield.

Held in the Port of Vauban and on the ramparts of Antibes, the show is the only pre-season Brokerage and Charter Show focusing on yachts above 20m in the region. And being the first local show of the season, it also provides great new networking opportunities, and the chance to revive old business relationships.

For industry professionals, there are a number of lounges and areas set aside for relaxation and professional networking, away from the gaze of the general public, including the VIP Lounge, the Captains’ Lounge and the Crew Lounge.

There is a very full programme of events scheduled for crew and professional attendees, including day-long seminars, walk-in sessions and workshops, and of course, the odd social function or two. Entry to these events and the lounge areas is restricted to those involved in the industry, or their invitees – the rest of us landlubbers will just have to satisy ourselves looking at the yachts!

The 2013 Antibes Yacht Show will also be the first show ever to hold a live yacht auction, which takes place at 3:30pm on Saturday, April 20th. The auctioneer will be one M. Pierre Cornette de Saint Cyr. If you are interested in finding out more about the auction, you may email the organisers.

The Antibes Yacht Show runs from Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st April, 2013 in the Port of Vauban. Tickets for the event cost €20 and may be reserved online. Children under 14 get in for free.
