The 2013 Crazy Week festival lineup has been announced, with many big names gracing the warm summer nights of the French Riviera.
Created in 2006 and originally called Les Enfants du Rock, the event promotes up and coming French and international musicians. Over the last few years, it has welcomed such artists as Mika, Pete Doherty, Shaka Ponk and Yodelice.
Alternative rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars will kick off the festivities on the 16th of July. The Jared Leto fronted band famous for hits such as ‘Kings and Queens‘ and ‘This Is War‘ has just released their fourth album LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS.
The next day, one of the most-talked about artists of the moment, the Jerusalem born and bred singer Asaf Avidan, will take the stage in support of his latest solo effort, ‘Different Pulses‘. He will be preceded on stage by local band Hyphen Hyphen and French artist Tété.

Thursday night will offer a nice mixture of rock, blues, pop and electronic music with Concrete Knives, Rover, Jil is Lucky and Dallas Frasca, while the following evening will be a French affair with Clarcèn, and two of the most popular representatives of the “nouvelle scene française” of the last decade: Olivia Ruiz and Raphael.
Ruiz made a name for herself when she participated in the French reality TV show “Star Academy“. Although she did not actually win the talent show, she went on to gain tremendous success with her upbeat mix of rock, accordion, violins, tango, clarinets and Latin rhythms.
Meanwhile, chart-topping French pop artist Raphael will perform songs from his six studio albums. Influenced by Slav ballads as well as South American rythms, the singer has gained a reputation for penning lyrics that are a very critical look at contemporary society.
The five day event should end on a hight note with Afro-soul singer Imany and French newcomers Ben Ellis and A-Jam.
The festival will take place from the 16th to the 20th of July at the Théâtre de Verdure. Tickets cost from 10 euros (one-day ticket for kids) to 125 euros (for a five-day pass) can be bought on the Ivoire Music website or in all the usual outlets.
