Golfe-Juan gets ready to start rocking the coast this summer with the much anticipated arrival of the French Riviera’s newest music festival this July.
The French Riviera has a new event to add to its already very busy list of annual music events; the Summer Golfe Festival, which will take place from the 22nd to the 24th of July in Golfe-Juan. Organized by Ivoire Music and focusing on current music trends, the event is already attracting some big names for its first edition, and there is little doubt that, like its famous counterpart in Nice, the Crazy Week, it will soon become a must-see event.
The three-day music fest will start on a high note on Monday the 22nd with three French artists that are currently making a splash on the Hip-Hop scene: Kery James, the reformed rapper who shot to fame with its hard-hitting lyrics but now sings about love and respect, Mali-born Oxmo Puccino whose sound is influenced by the street-smart American hip-hop of the Notorious B.I.G, and finally Féfé, an artist renowned for his explosive live shows, who should perform songs from his new album, mixed by Gorillaz’ Dan the Automator.
Two years after their acclaimed performance at Crazy Week, the French duo Lilly Wood & The Prick (pictured in lead image) will be back in the region on the 23rd with their mixture of pop, folk, rock and electro, and a new album. They will be the main draw of an evening that also features HVN and Puggy.
Nice born pop singer Jenifer will bring the festival to a close on Wednesday the 24th. The winner of the first Star Academy (the gallic equivalent to X Factor) in 2002 and current jury member on the Voice France will perform songs from her latest album ‘L’Amour & Moi‘, mixed in with some of her greatest hits.

She will be preceded on stage by the Cannes-based electro-pop duo Mutine, and Swiss sensation Bastian Baker for what should be an exciting evening of French pop.
The festival will take place from the 22nd to the 24th of July at Théâtre de la Mer Jean Marais in Golfe-Juan. A single ticket costs from €20 to €38 and the 3-day pass €90. They can be bought on the festival website or in all the usual outlets.
