The Théâtre de Verdure in Nice becomes a veritable temple of high energy rock ‘n’ roll this weekend, and all for a really great cause.
Summer is definitely back on the Côte d’Azur and what better way to celebrate it than with a two day rock festival this weekend? The Théâtre de Verdure in Nice hosts the 1 Max de Bruit rock festival, running over Friday and Saturday nights, the 30th and 31st May.
With 11 bands on the programme, this inaugural festival is a great chance for rockers of all ages to support local bands and the local music scene. The event will also benefit two local charities, Meghanora and Tous avec Hugo, both of which are involved in the fight again childhood cancers.
The lineup for Friday, 30th May, the opening night of the festival, includes the likes of the Barizone Orchestra, our good friends The Low Budget Men, Muse tribute band Supremacy, Warm, a Led Zeppelin tribute band, and Gimme Satisfaction, paying hommage to the Rolling Stones.
Saturday, 31st May sees Snowhite, Furious Mind (a Rage Against the Machine tribute band), Noon XOXO, Men on the Hill, Rapid Fire (Judas Priest tribute band) and Les Grandes Gueules all take to the stage.
Tickets cost €15 for each night, or €28 for a two-day pass, and may be reserved online. Children under 5 years of age (accompanied by an adult) get in for free, and tickets for children aged up to 14 cost €10. Doors open at 6pm on both evenings, and the concerts continue well into the night. Rock on, Nice!
