One of the world’s premier superyachting events, the Monaco Yacht Show is back this September, bigger and better than ever before.
The 23rd edition of the Monaco Yacht Show takes place in Port Hercule in the Principality from Wednesday 25th to Saturday, 28th September, and is guaranteed to attract the biggest names in the yachting industry.
With over 500 companies exhibiting in all areas of the show, and more than 100 megayachts on display, the organisers will be hoping to better the record breaking attendance of 33,000 visitors who passed through the gates last year.
According to the show’s Managing Director, Gaëlle Tallarida, the show delivers “… a social and business networking platform for the world’s top clientele interested in the niche superyacht market. The Monaco show remains the place to be whether you’re looking to step onboard this year’s finest superyacht offerings or discover the most innovative and tailor-made products and services that make luxury yachting the ultimate art of life.”
And this year will certainly not disappoint the big boat enthusiasts. There are numerous superyachts confirmed for the show, including the 80m motoryacht, Chopi Chopi, and the humungous Quattroelle, coming in at a whopping 88m, and running at a cool €1,000,000 per week to charter!
There will also be the 5th edition of the annual Only Watch charity auction, with all proceeds going to the Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies, to aid further research into the degenerative disease Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
The auction will be held at 11am on Saturday 28 September 2013 in the Hôtel Hermitage, with watches from distinguished manufacturers like Patek Philippe, Montblanc, Hublot, Chopard, Breguet, and Blancpain, amongst many others.
Launched to great acclaim in 2012, the Upper Deck Lounge will once again play host to the VIP clientele who can avail of a degree of privacy and sit in comfort to discuss business with the heads of the yacht companies on site. Here you will find the official restaurant, champagne bar and private areas for business meetings.
The area will also host an exhibition of the finest of luxury watches by Ulysse Nardin who will be celebrating their fifth consecutive year as Official Sponsor to the show.
Tickets for the Monaco Yacht Show cost €80 for a day pass, and will be available for purchase at the entrances to the show from the 25th September. Children under 12 are admitted for free, and doors open at 10am each day.
