The Gathering Ireland 2013 welcomes home friends and family the world over to locally organised gatherings in villages, towns and cities.
Throughout 2013, communities, villages and towns throughout Ireland will be organising exciting local festivals and Gatherings, welcoming people from all over the world, as well as a series of flagship events which will take place throughout the year focusing on Irish culture, music, the arts, sports and heritage.
The Gathering is inviting the 71 million strong Diaspora from around the world to join and support Ireland in 2013, as well as anyone that has or feels a connection to Ireland through business, education or a love of Irish culture or music. 2013 is definitely the year to come.
The Gathering Ireland 2013 is a unique opportunity for you to reconnect with your heritage. It provides an opportunity to help lay the foundations for a better future for Ireland, leaving a lasting legacy in the country of your origins. There will never be a better year to re-connect with, or indeed experience for the first time, all that is great about this wonderful little country.
There are numerous gatherings already confirmed. Dublin will take centre stage for a sensational New Year’s Eve Festival, heralding the start of The Gathering Ireland 2013 in true style! Other gatherings of note include the St. Patrick’s Parade ‘People’s Parade’, with 8,000 tickets available for the general public to join in, the Irish Redhead Convention in Crosshaven in Co. Cork next August, in aid of the Irish Cancer Society, and the Dingle Food Festival next October.
