There are so many fun outdoor activities to do on Côte d’Azur, but knowing what’s out there isn’t always easy to find and book.
Here are five fun outdoor activities to keep you entertained during your visit, all of which are bookable via Azur Vibes.
1. Paddle Boarding in Nice
The summer sun beats down hard in Nice. Cool down and have a splash around in the sea and get some exercise at the same time!
This activity starts from the main beach on Promenade des Anglais. All equipment is provided and prices start from €15 for one hour.
If you’re feeling energetic, paddle eastwards towards the port. The rocks at the end of the beach is a fun place to explore. There are one or two spots where you can climb up and jump in, too.
You won’t get too far on your paddle board in an hour, but it’s a nice way to cruise up and down the coastline and drink in the view.
2. Zipwire in La Colmiane
For the daredevil in you, this is the longest zipline in France! This activity is a 1-hour 30-minute drive from Nice, located in the beautiful Mercantour National Park. The drive there alone is a fun activity in itself.
The line has a total length of 2,663 metres. Darting across the valley, this is the closest you’ll come to experiencing what it’s like to be an eagle.
Open on weekends in June and September, and every day in July and August. Solo or Dual flight is €35 per person.
3. GT Drive Supercar Experience
For aspiring Lewis Hamiltons, this is the activity for you. Located a short distance from Bandol in the Var, you’ll find the ‘Circuit Paul Ricard’ which is home to several race tracks.
Jump in a Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini or one of other 15 supercars in the fleet and burn some rubber. You can request professional photos or videos of your experience and you also get a certificate at the end.
Package prices start from €59.90. Don’t forget your driving licence.
4. Paragliding Above Monaco
Not one for you if you suffer from vertigo, but this activity is a sure fire way to get one of the best possible views of Monaco, Roquebrune and the incredible azure blue sea below.
The hike up to the top of the mountain is also a nice activity. The trail follows a ridge all the way to the top of Mont Gros. From there you’ll get some breath-taking views before taking flight.
Flight options are from 15 minutes to 1 hour in duration. Fly tandem with an experienced paragliding pilot. Prices start from €70.
5. Cycling Tours of Nice
This is one of the best ways to see, and learn about Nice. You don’t have to be fit as the riding is pretty easy and there are lots of stops to take in the history and culture of Nice.
The guides are all super knowledgeable about the area and willing to pass on their local knowledge so you come away from Nice with a better picture of life here, past and present.
Bike tours last 3 hours and cost €30 per person which includes a bike, helmet, drinks bottle and a chilled drink.
