Enjoy the combination of great food and great art in style at Bistro Velvet in beautiful Bordighera!
Fabrizio Alborno, architect and artist, together with the Bistro Velvet, offers delicacies for the eye as well as for the palate. The Velvet, well known for its exquisite cuisine, will pamper its guests until June 2nd with paintings from Fabrizio Alborno.
Fabrizio, devoted to painting since earliest childhood, decided to study architecture at the University of Milan. He loved to spend his leisure time in the creative environment of Brera, in the ‘company’ of various postmodern painters, who also loved this place. The powerful painting of the early 19th century avantgarde fascinated him and formed the basis of his own work. He took up painting with devotion and passion, always learning new things and developing his own style.
In 1997 he successfully completed his studies as an architect, which meant his painting had to take a back seat, moving more and more into the background. Sometimes in life one has the feeling of knowing something for a long time without being able to define it clearly – painting had to give way to daily tasks and Fabrizio had to kill the painter in himself.
The productive phase from 1992 until this ‘suicide’ in 1998 is now being shown for the first time in Bistro Velvet, Via St. Ampelio in Bordighera. A real treat awaits not only the art lover but also the foodie with this exhibition at Velvet’s.
As soon as you open the front door, you will immediately notice the lifestyle and atmosphere of an extravagant bistro. And why not avail of the good weather and relax in the idyllic outdoor area? High quality cuisine, especially good service, topped off with Live Jazz evenings and now, some great art!
