The sound of the valleys is coming to Monaco this week, as the Opéra de Monte-Carlo welcomes Welsh superstar bass-baritone, Bryn Terfel.

Welsh voices will continue to be heard throughout the region this week, as besides those celebrating the RBS 6 Nations championship win last weekend, we will also have their compatriot Bryn Terfel, as he wows Monaco with his Bad Boys show this coming Saturday, 23rd March 2013.

Bass-baritone Bryn Terfel Jones, CBE, originally known for favouring roles from the works of Mozart, such as those of Don Giovanni and Figaro, now focuses more on the heavier roles of composers like Wagner.

His Bad Boys show, based on the 2010 album of the same name, features the works of Donizetti, Verdi, Gershwin, Puccini, Sullivan, and many others –  a veritable classical mashup. The musical direction for the evening will be provided by Gareth Jones, and the Chœur de l’Opéra de Monte-Carlo and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo will also be in attendance.

The concert takes place in the Auditorium Rainier III at 8pm on Saturday. Tickets may be reserved online, or by telephoning +377 98 06 28 28 between 10am to 5:30pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
